Think you might be missing the point there.

(The point being...if it was really because he wants to 'save the children' then he wouldn't be advertising kfc)

Not necessarily as the Save the Children Foundation is about education, health care, economic opportunities etc... A few pieces of fried chook really don't figure greatly in that equation.

A healthy diet figures very heavily in that equation.

But anyway, I realise post 252 was merely episode 2,327 of this tedious spat, and the logic of it isn't really expected to bear close scrutiny.

    Carry on.

Bale penalty doesn't add to the shots on target stats...

So the Turks are the first team eliminated. They will be returning home under cover of darkness I fancy.

Although I rather think the Leekmunchers probably overreacted a tad there.

There might be some knives out in Baku tonight.

My knowledge of soccer limited as it is has been mainly learned from watching my son play amateurs from under 8s to under 16s. My fault for moving from Melbourne (The centre of the known universe) to Queensland. Whilst I appreciate soccer is a skilful game it doesn't have the excitement and impact of Australian football for me, especially to watch a nill all score line and the best team decided by a penalty shoot out.

This might give the sweaties some hope. Then again maybe Southgate won't pick him.

England centre back Harry Maguire said he is fit and available to face Scotland in Friday's Group D match at the European Championship after missing the opener due to an ankle ligament injury.

All this football on the telly is having a detrimental effect on my gym jaunts and causing a supplemental enhancement to one's belly.

I was gonna go during this game, but it's turned out ok...and then you've got Belgium up next...and Holland are usually good to watch...and...

    Fuck it. Pass the biscuits.

The tried and tested C-fast plan: loved by housewives worldwide. Dunno why MM hasn't tried this one yet.

    Danish dynamite!

I think we might be seeing changes at the break from Belgium and the introduction of a certain Mr de Bruyne.

Not sure about the last one.

Another excellent game and Denmark were unlucky, but that moment in the 2nd half when de Bruyne flicked it over the other player's head and then Eden Hazard did similar.

    Dearie me.
