    Edited for others!

I found that thinking back to the dentist chair and subsequent goal celebrations helped to jog the memory...

Amazing that Bruce and Pallister weren't stalwarts of the English defense in the 90's, never mind not even part of it, given that they were the defensive unit winning title after title and the double double.

Bruce never even got an international call up.

Born in 1970, who was the manager in the early 90's.

    Graham Taylor?

    Ahhh.

Not as if there was a USA 94 world cup squad to be in.

It's not often I defer to John Hartson, but he said earlier on the telly that there are no superlatives left to describe him. About right.

Did you see his Coca Cola video from earlier?

To lose to France by an own-goal . . . is actually better than losing to France through a regular goal . . . kind of.

germny's passing was dreadful . . . not due to French pressure, simply dreadful of its own accord

I was thinking it'd be 2-1 or 3-2 France but this isn't too bad.

Could have been 3 or 4-0 to the frogs had it not been for vorsprungdorktechnic offside traps

Germany could have nicked a draw too and can still not be written off.

Whoever wins this tournament will have came top of a very high quality field

That French team is scary though.
