What the fuck is that team? Two left backs like Chilwell and Shaw, who've both had excellent seasons, and he picks fucking Tripper and Walker at full back! No Grealish, Sancho not even on the bench.

Or is Gareth a tactical whiz who has seen something we don't know?

Lump on Croatia, Dil. You can get 11/2!

I reckon his thinking is that Croatia are ageing and will be vulnerable to pace.

So that explains why, for example, Walker is in, with Sterling rather than Grealish and Trippier rather than Shaw

Why on earth he wouldn't want Sancho at some point is mystifying. And Sterling is a worry because he's been absolute dog shit all year.

Yeah, I would have wanted more pace up top too. Maybe he's thinking he can do this in the 2nd half with the heat when Croatia tire?
Mings is a concern too, a big step up for him, but perhaps his hands are tied there somewhat.

We can play better but job done- a solid performance. First opening game we've ever won at the Euros.

Sterling, Phillips, Mings etc all played well in the end.

    Arise Sir Gareth.

Heard that soundbite, good omen as they've never won their final game in a Euros.

Just piddling about, wish them well.

Can't see them getting past the 2nd round if they win the group.

QF, possible SF-ists if they finish runner ups.

I'm sure our ever creative tabloid press will come up with something although it doesn't help that he's probably the blandest England manager in living memory.

    The Pizza Hut prat maybe?

The rest might as well go home; now England have won, the tournament is all but over.

You can pretty much say the same for anyone that has the misfortune to draw France, but they're the only side I genuinely fear. We're more than a match for anyone else.
