What difference does that make ? Blue Jay's are a Canadian franchise in a Canadian city.

Lovely to see the season well started. I like baseball as I find it the sport the easiest to watch, a very nice regular pace and a leg stretch in the seventh innings. I don't care for the Blue Jays and I don't much care for anything Toronto. I'll be watching all the Mariners games I can lay my eyes on.
    Go Mariners!

They’re playing an American sport, with the roster made up of mostly American players.
What the hell does it matter where they’re playing. The only thing that makes them Canadian is their location, dip shit.

At one time hockey was quite manly.

Today played mainly by women, children and those missing limbs and brains.

While there are certainly similarities between baseball and rounders, they are two different sports, and they both originated from 13th century European folk games.

Mariners definitely looking solid against the Injuns right now and this weekend. I think they’ll finish at least .500 this year. Heck play .500 ball the rest of the year and have just one 8-10 game winning streak could see 88-90 wins maybe.

And agree with ya ... Mariners might be worth watching the next 3-5 years.

They are, and it is all due to the youngsters. They have called up prized prospect Jarred Kelenic and his first home run was a monster!

^ ... saw that and it was an awesome shot. Just need the pitching to improve a little. Kikuchi needs to step it up.

Baseball is akin to girls rounders but slightly more interesting than NFL.
Does America have any decent sports?

Why do you and the rest of the Euro trash have such an inferiority complex that you must pop into threads making stupid infantile comments? Must be the small penises or that you are aware that soccer is for pooves and cricket is the worlds most boring sport.

That’s offensive to boring sports. Any activity where you wear sweaters, and break for tea, is not a sport.

Snubs: Look at the payroll ... other than Seager and Kikuchi this is really a good clue you might be on to something.

The rest of the team is stuck playing for the Mariners for 3-4 years unless traded. These guys gotta come to play if they ever wanna “get paid”.

Cuban baseball star César Prieto defects to U.S.

Cuban baseball player César Prieto, a highly touted 22-year-old infielder, ditched the Cuban national team Wednesday and defected to the United States.

Prieto and his then-teammates arrived in Florida on Wednesday to compete in an Olympic qualifying tournament.

Hours after the team’s arrival, the Cuban Baseball Federation released a statement confirming Prieto’s departure. The player hopped in a car outside the team hotel almost immediately after their bus arrived, according to baseball journalist Francys Romero.

Because of the frosty diplomatic relations between the U.S. and Cuba, the easiest way for Cuban players to enter Major League Baseball is by sneaking away from their home country. Jose Abreu, the 2020 American League MVP, defected in 2013.

In his most recent season in the Cuban league, Prieto hit .403 with seven home runs in 74 games.

The Cuban national team is in Florida to play an Olympic qualifying tournament against the U.S., Canada, Venezuela, Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, Nicaragua and Colombia. Only one team will qualify for the Tokyo Olympics. Cuba is one of the favorites.: Cuban baseball star Cesar Prieto defects to U.S. | New York Daily News

Kyle Seager just jacked home run # 30 to match his best season so far. And the Mariners are 11 games over .500 with 45 games to go!
