First live practice I've ever seen. Track is dusty AF. Ham Bot both flat spotted their tires in turn 1.
Ver and Per fastest so far
Oxxo sticker spotted on the Red Bull cars. Must be some money that Perez brought with him

Tsunoda off.
Perez off behind him.
Verstappen has to back off behind them.
Mercedes 1-2
Max: 'What a dumb idiot'.
Did Mercedes ever sand bag it this weekend. Made themselves look like shit in practice. Fair play I guess. RB sand bagged the last 2 races with success.
Mercedes fans have been throwing in the towel since Thursday just to reverse jinx themselves. Everyone with their highfalutin theories about why RB was going to lay waste to the field all weekend.
Mark Hughes says it's because the Honda's turbo is able to spin at higher speeds than the Mercedes, meaning it's better at packing in the thinner air at high altitude.

Being a maximum downforce circuit, Mexico seems to favour high rake cars. As a result, since 2017 the low rake Mercedes has never looked amazing round here compared to say Silverstone or Suzuka.I predict a Monaco-like race, with Max taking a comfortable win and Lewis struggling to score big points.
Messy lap from Mad Max and it cost him. But it's hard to see the Red Bull pace advantage not counting at the end.

The next post may be brought to you by my little bitch Spamdreth
Max starting on softs, too.
Whinger Spice must have seen it coming.
Verstappen passes both Mercs on the outside at the start. Pole sitter Bottas got spun out by Riccardo into turn 1.
Serves Bottas right for taking out both RB's and Lando in Hungary
Max's first stop was a blistering 2.2 seconds. Perez was 2.3 Hamilton 2.4. Bottas 11.7
An easy win really. Fortunately Perez is too shit to have got in front of the struggling Mercedes so Merc hold on to the Constructors for now.
Bottas must really hate Daniel who not only rammed him from behind to put him last but came out on the track in front of him and ruined his entire race. Not that it would have made a difference, he's clearly no longer interested and who can blame him?
On to Brazil which thankfully is at a more civilised time. Surely we are getting to the stage where only a DNF can stop Mad Max claiming his first title? I can't see Mercedes wasting significant money trying to squeeze more out of this car when the new rules beckon.
Bottas's "struggling Mercedes" was the pole sitter and couldn't pass Riccardo's struggling Mclaren.Fortunately Perez is too shit to have got in front of the struggling Mercedes
What happened ? It has gone all quiet?
Might be good. Max has won there before.

Max had both championships by a wide margin going into Silverstone and it was gone in one race. Rosberg led Hamilton by more points than Max at the same time in the season in 2016. Hamilton got within 5 points in 4 races. And Rosberg didn't DNF or have any bad races.
But hey. Let's just give it to Max. It's over says the Merc fanboyz
Oooh Interlagos is the first track to cover the paddock.
1. Sir Lewis
2. Mad Max
3. Bottas
Plenty of speed in qualifying - can Mercedes translate it into race pace though?
Sprint race first.
Sir Lewis will start no higher than 6th though, having taken a new engine. Thrashing it for the rest of the season seems to be the philosophy.
Hamilton fastest because he has a new engine. But another pole won't stop Mercedes from pleading underdog like they did last week. Because elevation brah
9th weekend in a row that Mercedes is fastest in FP1 but hey, Max is running away with it. Yeah
