1 I think.
Bottas a 1 stop?
:chitown:
:)
Valteri: "Why not?"
Mercedes seriously underestimated the hard tyres.
They can't blame the engine problem, Bottas had two full FP's to play with.
That rattle on Perez made my IPTV blip
Get rekt
At least Sir Lewis nicked the fastest lap at the end.
Damage limitation.
Gasley P4. Perez did alright considering at P8.
Gasley is the best driver in the world that isn't in a top seat.
So according to Toto we might get a Russell announcement at Monza: "Waiting for the paperwork to be signed".
Bottas joining Alfa Romeo in 2022. Russell to Mercedes will be announced soon.
It's official:
In the "not really that important" news is the story that the chinkies might be buying a seat at Alfa Romeo.Quote:
Following Valtteri Bottas’ departure to Alfa Romeo Racing, Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team has today announced that George Russell will be team-mate to Lewis Hamilton from 2022.
Quote:
According to RMC Motori correspondent Paolo Ciccarone, the favourite is a front-running Formula 2 driver from China, Guanyu Zhou – although other media reports suggest there are four other candidates.
The publication said Zhou is poised to replace Antonio Giovinazzi thanks to EUR 30 million promised to the Swiss-based team by his sponsor.
Excellent. Russel is a young hotshot and he's gonna drive his way to the number one seat. He and Hamilton will have a falling out by the first few races. Hamilton never gets along with a competitive teammate.
Albon is taking Russell's seat at Williams.
Thai driver Albon to join Latifi at Williams F1 team in 2022
Why wouldn't it be Hamilton/Alonso or Hamilton/Rosberg days again ? Russel isn't a #2 driver
But yes you are right. For all we know , Mercedes days of domination could be over. That's what happens with big reg changes.
Michael Schumacher, Jimmy Johnson, Dale Earnhardt , AJ Foyt and Richard Petty all won 7 championships. But not 8. So Hamiltons chances aren't good
Yet again you are posting about something you don’t understand. Only one of those drivers was a champion in F1.
Hamilton and Russell are at opposite ends of their careers. Both are supremely talented drivers. The team they are driving for is looking for constructor points, with the added kudos of one of them winning the world title. Mercedes don’t care which one wins, as long as it’s one of theirs.
They are on opposite ends but they are still both #1 drivers.
Bottass has pole for the sprint. Shamilton beside him. Max and Lando 3/4
Russell showed in Bahrain what he can do with the Merc. As long as we don't get the Rosberg/Hamilton madness, he'll be free to race as he wishes.
And don't be under any illusions that Toto wouldn't tell Sir Lewis to let him past if it's needed.
(Whether he would or not, of course, is another matter).
No, I answered your question by making it clear that saying...
... is not always true.Quote:

That's why there is a thing called team orders.
