Red Bull and Ferrari should collaborate to prevent Shamilton from beating record. Ferrari is done for this year anyway

They could use different engines some years back.

I think this was when Switch was last watching.

Bottas has been docked 3 grid positions for spinning on pit road. I hate Mercedes. So I'll take it. But that is a bit steep for an incidental spin at less than pit road speed

Its quite an operation. Team owner did 16 months of jail time for tax evasion in 09. Got an oligarch behind the wheel. They should stick it out till next season. See how they fare under the new rules.

Yet another week end where the F1 and MotoGp races are on the same weekend. I smell a rat one or the other is deliberately scheduling their races on the same weekend which seems counter productive.

That is what they are doing. They are not even bothering to develop this seasons car at all and focusing all resources on next season. As an American, I want Haas to do well, but my primary team is Ferrari and Harry full well knows that.

Harry is a bandwagon jumper. He is only a fan of Mercedes because of Hamilton and if Hamilton signed with Ferrari for next season he would suddenly become a rabid Ferrari fan.

Generally speaking fans of one aren't fans of the other, so I don't see any nefariousnessness, er, ness.

I'm sorry but I don't share your personal pecadillos, I merely admire the skills that have made him the greatest racing driver of all time.

Ya naw not so much. He and you can thank Mercedes for putting him in a car that just about any other driver in F1 could win championships in.

I am not the one who acts all giddy like a school girl at the first mention of Hamilton. That would be you.

    I can not stand him.

Start a Shamilton wank thread. You seem to wank him off the same way in each page of this thread.

I have always followed and supported British British drivers/teams, like Hunt, Herbert Mansell, Irvine, Coulthard, Damon Hill and Hamilton. If that makes me a xenophobe, then so be it.

I admired the skills and tenacity of Prost and Senna, because they were outstanding drivers of their time. Drivers in a support role never got anyone too excited, except maybe Barichello, who was forced to play second fiddle to Michael Schumacher, even when events/conditions conspired to put him at the front, he was usually obliged by team orders to let Michael past.

The demeanor of drivers like Schumacher and Vettel did not endear them to many, because my generation grew up in a post war period where Germans were still the enemy, and they were both a bit too full of themselves. (Having spent 11 years living and working in Germany, I learned to like the people and love the country).

There is much promise to come from the likes of Norris and Russell, but I suspect that Mick Schumacher has gone as far as he is ever likely to get. Maybe that’s my lifelong bias against German drivers? The one German who I do find easy to like and support, is Toto Wolff. He shows many traits of Britishness, and he leads his team very effectively and modestly, despite the Mercedes superiority.

With rule changes, and an exciting crop of youngsters, the future of F1 now seems more assured than ever.

The power unit development freeze has allowed Red Bull/Alpha Tauri to continue with Honda engines until the end of the 2024 season. Red Bull must be putting a greater share of funding into this venture as Honda leaves the F1 circus. They now have their own power unit division based with the UK Red Bull team in UK.
