Well Arsenal were almost victims of their own arrogance. Faffing around in their own area with the ball cost them one goal and nearly another.

Thankfully there was enough firepower on the bench to turn it around, so a nice 3 away points to start.

Good results for Rangers, Leicester, the Tiny Totts and AC Milan to complete the set.

Good side that Leipzig team. European Cup semi finalists, Bundesliga leaders and they dont give you a second on the ball.

    No match for United though.

    Manchester United 5-0 Leipzig.

    Wow.

    Marcus Rashford.

    Wow.

The Arsenal put out a young side which struggled for 40 minutes before overwhelming the pikies.

Leicester overcame a potential banana skin in AEK Athens.

Rangers would have done the Posnan if they had a crowd, after overcoming Lech by the odd goal.

The kiddie fiddlers will probably be happy at scraping a 2-2 draw

Bale continues to jinx the tiny totts as they crumble away to Royal Antwerp.

Chelsea have already qualified and we need 1 point from the next 2 games at home to PSG and away to Leipzig.

If we'd put in just an average performance in Istanbul, we'd be home and dry now. Just hope we dont live to regret it.

    Molde 0-3 Arsenal

More good news for the club is that there will be Gunners fans allowed in the ground next week, so the atmosphere will still be the same.

Not allowed at your gaff then?

That will be because they don't shower.

That wasn't a comeback, that was a mere statement of fact.

I forgot to mention that half of your front rows are full of batmunchers on match days so they probably took that into account as well.

Well the return of a few fans was hopefully a welcome sign of things to come. Spoke to a few of my mates who won the ballot, they all had a good drink before going and an even better one afterwards, and the team rewarded them with a much better performance than of late. Going to give Arteta a few selection problems for the NLD I fancy.

They could have put three keepers in for the first goal and they wouldn't have been able to stop it.

    Bayern 3-3 Leipzig yesterday.

It's gonna be a big job on Tuesday, but we have the team to do it. We just need to put the ball in our own net to go behind and then start playing.

It would be a great achievement to qualify from this group, but it would be equally devastating not to qualify given the control we had of it before that game in Istanbul.

^ Sounds odd as Utd are top of the group with 1 game to play.

Also Madrid and Inter maybe going out from their same group.

Gotta feeling there's gonna be a strange first time winner of the competition.

The oddity here is that United are away from home, which given their current away form might give them an advantage. However, their record breaking run of away wins has to end sometime. Just hope it's not tomorrow night and we get a draw at least.

    Yup.

Would they be the first team ever to go into the final round top of their group and not qualify?

I remember when Newcastle became the first (and possibly only) team to lose their first 3 games and still go on to qualify from their group.

On the brink of qualification and elimination. As PAG says, this winning run is gonna come to an end soon, but a draw would do us anyway.

    Squeaky bum time!

    Missed this. Dummies were spit.

The game between Istanbul Basaksehir and Paris Saint-Germain descended into chaos in the first half after Demba Ba accused the fourth official of making a racist remark with the game being suspended until Wednesday. There were already fiery scenes on the touchline early on after Basaksehir assistant manager Pierre Webo was sent off.

He had exchanged words with fourth official Sebastian Coltescu from Romania, leading to a furious response from Basaksehir's bench.

There were then accusations that the fourth official had made a racist remark towards Webo.
Former Chelsea striker Demba Ba confronted Coltescu over his comments.

"You never say this white guy... so why when you mention a black guy, you have to say this black guy," Ba could be heard saying.

There's no way they can afford Mbappe.

They're 1.2 billion euros in debt.

Would be a shame to see them go under.

Besides when they were spanking Utd in European cup finals, always liked Barca, their history and principles.

The almost entirely homegrown team they produced 10-15 years ago must be one of the greatest club sides ever to play.

    Fuck.

FC Barcelona is on the "verge of bankruptcy," according to a report from Spanish newspaper El Mundo. The club's most recent financial report shows that it made a loss of $117 million in 2020 and has $1.4 billion of debt. So bad is the crisis, the club was unable to pay its players their wages in January.

Although in fairness I would assume any player could walk out on their contract if Barca have broken it.

No transfer fees, big signing on bonuses.
