What about a warm-up feature race ?
Asian ladies are picked randomly from the crowd to drive SUVs for massive prizes.
I’d pay well to watch that.
Far more entertaining than F1 and NASCAR.
TBH Touring Cars is a much better sport. Highly tuned road cars, adapted for a true “contact” motor sport.
The manufacturers change over the years, but usually include the major ones like BMW Renault, Ford and even Volvo, and the drivers are real characters.
A great day out at challenging circuits all over UK and Europe. Merkin cars wouldn’t last more than two corners. lol
This thread made me go on an Indy deep dive last night. I was at the last Indycar race in Western Canada. The Edmonton Indy in 2012. I used to go to Moulson Indy Vancouver as well. Now we don't got shit.
Calgary hopes to land IndyCar race in near future
IndyCar will not be making its return to Alberta in 2019, but 2020 isn't off the table.
Ric Peterson, co-owner of Schmidt Peterson Motorsports, is still pushing for a return of the series in his home province, but said progress has stalled.

I was at the 1995 Indycar at Surfers Paradise.
A canadian won (Paul Tracy)
I found Indycar to be about racing, and not the circus, that Formula 1 is.
I like circus though.
Actually the atmosphere beats the race itself.
Beers, barbecue and eyecandy.
More into motorcycles myself
Yeah. The atmosphere especially at the races inside the city are great. I mostly go for the atmosphere. Just seeing the money that gets thrown around , the women , the people watching. It's all good. Races are one of the places where you can eye fuck women and they enjoy it
Paul Tracy and Team Kool Green was fucking awesome.
F1 in downtown Singapore at night must be amazing

Yes I'm sure all women enjoy being stared at by some weirdo who has to pay for sex.Races are one of the places where you can eye fuck women and they enjoy it
^ I vaguely remember Ford Mondeos doing rather well in the WTCC. Does Ford not count as being American?
Totally different sport to F1 and different skill level.
The mondeo got its name because it was the first “world” car produced by the company. It was the beginning of global rationalization of the model range.
Merica has made strides in improving things like handling and drive ability for the home market, but they still lag behind european manufacturers, who have concentrated on ride and handling characteristics for decades.
Try replying to the post, instead of the poster. Carrying your personal dislike for me from other threads does not serve you well. I thought you were better than that, especially as this has become more of an engineering issue.
As I said in my earlier post, Touring cars is a much more enjoyable experience as an entertainment spectacle.
From an engineering perspective, the American brute force and ignorance comes shining through in most motor sport. Subtle is not something they have ever excelled at.
I am sure they Won some obscure class, like finishing the race, or best decals, but they will never win the Blue Riband prize for the top car. LeMans is a specialist race for purpose built sports cars. It’s not for road going production cars anyway.
Its obvious you know nothing about motor sport, otherwise you would not be comparing steam trains, to race horses. Idiot.
Your obfuscation and angry repo is hilarious but it doesn’t represent a snubby win.
From my very first post, I have been talking about touring cars, not specialist races or multi class events like Le Mans endurance series.
Moving the goal posts does not make yo a winner, you egotistical xenophobe piss head.
Even now that someone has explained it for you, it will still whoosh over your head. By voting for Trump, the American electorate has flushed you country down the pan. You are no longer biggest and best in the world anymore. Sorry about that. Hahahahaha
Snubby is an expert on Formula 1 because he saw them at, er, Goodwood you see.
It's just different Switch, that's all.
Running on an oval circuit with the throttle floored and losing speed only due to the turning friction still takes a lot of skill and engineering.
He's right though snubby, Touring Class is highly entertaining.
Your Indy rubbish is as dull as fucking dishwater.
Governments around the worl without a motor industry, choose european, or even Jap cars for government service. The only country who chooses American cars is .... USA. Even the Crown Vic has to be specked up for government service. Mass produced shite = your motor industry experience.
