^If he turns up at the Bronco's once Seibold finally gets the arse I'll cry. Green did ok at the Cowboys with Jonathon Thurston steering the ship for the 80 minutes of game-time each week, but the moment he hung his boots up it's all been downhill.

Don't think I've ever seen an NRL coaching merry-go-round like this and there's more to get axed yet before this season ends, it'll be interesting to see who ends up where by the end of the year.

Good read in about 10 mins ... written by Luke Lewis

The NRL’s top eight is set, but the Roosters, Penrith Panthers and Melbourne Storm are heavy favourites

    Rugby League 2020 - REBOOTED-12663378-16x9-large-jpg

The NRL's top eight is locked in, which means we can already start to look forward to a finals series that's going to be packed with some really big games of football.

Looking at the eight, there are probably three or maybe four teams that can really stake their claims for winning the competition, with another two an outside chance.

Penrith, the Roosters and Melbourne are the three main teams in the box seat, with both the Panthers and the Roosters both possibly benefiting from not having to travel too much, which will have an impact, but not as much as getting a week off by winning their first semi-final.

Yes the GF is at 15:30 Thai time.

Love him or hate him it's impossible not to rate Smith as one of the best ever and a guaranteed future immortal, the numbers don't lie and neither does his list of achievements. Nobody in the history of the game even comes close, 429 games and counting where as 2nd place was about 370 games from Cronk. 9 minutes left on the clock, your team is down by 10, just get the ball to him and be ready for anything because there's nobody in the NRL better than Smith in that situation.

NRL to feature two-point field goal among innovative rule changes for 2021 season

    Rule changes for 2021:

    • Two points for field goals outside the 40m line
    • Six-again for 10-metre infringements and professional fouls in ruck
    • Penalty if players break from scrum before referee calls "break" when satisfied the ball is out of the scrum
    • Play the ball restart when the ball is kicked or carried into touch
    • Handover for incorrect play the ball
    • Review retained, but on-field decision stands where a captain's challenge is inconclusive
    • Bunker reviews done in background after on-field try is awarded, with conversion attempt not permitted until bunker is satisfied a try has been scored
    • Injured players must be interchanged or taken off for two minutes before they can return if trainer asks a match official to stop a game for injury
