That's excellent news. I love it when good things happen to the small teams.

A great plan by Southgate to lull our WC opponents into a false sense of security.

Understandably, it must be pretty hard to pull a team together from a population > 66.5 million people.

And to take more than a point from teams with, say, population < 5.5 million people... I can't imagine

Like the Irish and the Italians, your principles are admirable.

The quality of your football teams not so much.

Scotland have a top Quality team right now, winning games despite injuries. We're even looking like taking your place in Group A.

Anyway, be careful, the Arabs won't put up with your supports' nonsense over there.

    I pity your embarrassment already.

Maybe you can borrow our kilts and learn to talk funny so other fans will like you.

I was in Australia for 2002 and was with older Chinese triads/wholesale heroin importers and mentioned that 1 billion people, surely they could find 11 good players.

Tottenham forward Richarlison had a banana thrown at him as he was racially abused during Brazil's friendly win over Tunisia in Paris on Tuesday.

The incident occurred as the former Everton striker ran towards the corner flag to celebrate scoring his side's second goal in their 5-1 win at the Parc des Princes.

Footage showed Manchester United midfielder Fred kicking the banana away while other objects were also thrown onto the pitch.

Careful, some of them get a bit upset at being reminded of it.

And . . . at the end of the day, though it might be an embarrassment, they still qualified for the World Cup.

Funny how nobody cared about this competition when we were doing well.

It's basically a world cup warm up this year.

    Well, not for Italy obvs.

If Argentina and Portugal win their respective groups, their paths lead to a Messi v Ronaldo world cup final, and the entire planet stopping for 90 minutes.

England qualified with 3 points more than Scotland and didn't have fucking goal happy Denmark in their group, which, by the way, we did beat once, ending their 762 game undefeated run.

If it is, you're doing it wrong.

Portugal are getting nowhere near a WC Final

Anyway, we get 2nd seeded in a playoff for the Euros now.
