The UEFA Club Competitions Thread 2019/2020

And some cracking news to start off with:

AC Milan have been forced to withdraw from all UEFA competitions next season for breaching FFP.

Hopefully the Plastics won't be far behind!

I'm not doing one though and, as I said on the thread itself, with all these flounces I'm now in contention for a CL place should I manage to dislodge one of the Lulu teams.

Unlucky to lose that, Chelsea. They looked a little better at the back today and with the rub of the green could have won that.

Plenty to be positive about for them so far though, but they've gotta make it count or else the vultures will soon be circling for fat Frankie.

Leicester at home this weekend, Norwich away, Sheff Utd home, Wolves away and then Liverpool at home.

Hardly matters, as if they're gonna get to the final.

If we'd got Porto instead of Guimaraes, I would definitely have been doing an away trip.

    Brilliant city and those cellars....

The plastics cruised through against Donetsk but the tiny totts threw away a two goal lead to draw against the bubbles.

The Arse looked very wobbly in the first half, but ended up missing the three best chances and scoring from a deflection.

Much more assured in the second half, and Willock and Saka in particular play beyond their years.

Probably be on the bench on Sunday.

Didn't you just do a stint for polluting/trolling the top-half?

Guardiola admitting in his press conference that City are a little club with no history:

City supporters have had a love-hate relationship with the Champions League over the years but Guardiola admitted it would take time to build up a tradition in the same way as fans of Liverpool and Manchester United have done. “That’s true,” he said. “[But] that’s a reality of our club, we have to accept it. We have to seduce them so they realise how it’s important. I think it’s because in the past they were not there at our club [watching City in the competition]. “We were at home in the bars, drinking beer watching Liverpool and United. That’s the culture of the club. We are making steps.
