Isle Of Man TT 2019 - results

I suspect not many followers on here. Not been able to go for 8 years myself and used to help out on Classic in early 2000's with a mates AJS entry. Given the circuit a few spins on various bikes and if you've done it you can only marvel at the skill and speeds that pros get round it on

Last year the lap record was broken, 134mph by Dean Harrison.......average speeb which is fukin unreal. below is the vid -

one rider died this year unfortunately – Daley Mathison of the UK, who passed during the opening RST Superbike race. RIP Daley.
He's number 253 since the race started in 1911.

The electric (Zero) class is interesting with bikes clocking top speeds of over 176mph on a battery!!!!

The results were a little down this year but its still imho the greatest road race in the world and the riders the most courageous.

A full lap of the TT on board with John McGuinness - one of the greats - 5 mins in he's topping some serious speed over the mountain in 12 mins is nice

It's years since I went round the course, back in the late 70's and early 80's. Do they still have Mad Sunday? I took a Honda 750f2 and k6 round, as well as a cx500. So difficult keeping control around some parts with front wheel lifting many times and both wheels on a couple of bits. Nowhere near the speeds the pros do and I'm not brave enough to go much faster than I did. Even in the dry the back wheel slides on the rail crossing entering the hill section. Scary as hell...

And would have easily defended his title if Ferrari hadn't come along dangling an F1 contract....

Yes Troy, Mad Sunday is still a go. Yep legal road racing no speed limits with the police watch and cheering you on.

Smeg did race the course, I pitted for him two years straight

It is amazing that the race is just run on ordinary roads, all they do is give em a sweep, ask the farmer if they've got some spare hay bales and keep the idiots off for a few days. Except Mad Sunday and then they idiot test to so you can get on.

VN Guy Martin is one of my favs never to have won it, funny bloke and had quite a few crashes - and very warm in 2010 when i was last there.
