    Nah.

Organizers of the World Cup in Qatar have finalized a policy to serve beer with alcohol to soccer fans at stadiums and fan zones in the Muslim-majority country.

FIFA said Saturday fans will be allowed to buy Budweiser beer with alcohol within the eight stadium compounds — though not at concourse concession stands — before and after games, and during evenings only at the official “Fan Festival.” That is being held in a downtown Doha park.
My guess is it will be inside out of the way, like the big fuck off beer tent at the Bahrain F1 next to the grandstand: No national dress and hugely fucking expensive.

Otherwise FIFA would have to pay Budweiser a shit load of compensation for breach of contract.

Not that it really matters because most proper fans are boycotting the tournament.

It has been revealed that football fans can now drink beers during matches at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

But, and it's a big but, it's only allowed to be non-alcoholic Budweiser Zero.

    Erm....

You know you can drink in Qatar, right?

It's been legal as long as I can remember to drink in certain hotel bars and restaurants, and expats have always had access to a license to buy from government offies.

Just hideously fucking expensive, always was.

Better off going to Bahrain or the UAE, although the latter has gone through the roof in recent years.

If a lack of knowledge were to preclude Joe from commenting then, let's face it, he'd be left with...beans.

Kit manufacturer Hummel says it does not want its branding to be visible during the World Cup in Qatar because of the country's human rights record.

Denmark have revealed a sponsor-less monochrome kit for the upcoming tournament in protest against the host country.

In a statement marking the release of the strip which has been produced by Hummel, the company said it has "toned down" its logo and "iconic chevrons" as "we don't wish to be visible during a tournament that has cost thousands of people their lives".

I'll guarantee you Qatar will be asking FIFA to do something about it with veiled threats.

FIFA, of course, will be spineless as usual.

For a company that doesn't want attention they sure are making a big fuss over it.

Nothing to be done as no rules have been broken.

    It's a 'nothing' story.

Denmark will wear shirts at the World Cup that criticise the human rights record of the host nation Qatar, with a black option unveiled to honour migrant workers who died during construction work for the finals tournament.
“The colour of mourning,” the kit manufacturer Hummel said in a post on Instagram releasing the black third-choice design.
And any shit that happens to the Danish team entering or staying in Qatar will be an "unfortunate misunderstanding".

He's got a point, Hummel have got a ton of advertising out of it.

Although were I a Hummel exec looking forward to a nice world cup jolly, I'd be inclined to stay at home and watch it on the telly.

Somewhere in Doha airport will be a grinning Qatari waiting with a bucket of fairy liquid, some marigolds, a hosepipe and a bike pump
