Happens every year where for the last dozen or so fixtures, the teams in the relegation battle are fighting for their Premiership existence and every match becomes a cup final, particularly against the league leading teams. I'm sure Ten Hag is just finding this out. Playinig Fernandes in central midfield to allow Sancho some more game time was a mistake. Southampton have a very good midfield and talisman in the shape of Ward-Prowse. Fred or McTominay would have been better from the start alongside Casimiro. Hopefully Eriksen will be back next month.
