I'm sure when he looks at his wage packet he has no regrets.

I wonder if barca have considered threatening to remove de Jong's toenails?

Is that a thing in Spain? I don't get the reference.

Tbf I dont think the pain is over for a good few years yet.

Their new coach is Vauxhall Conference standard.

Well Martial is spearheading their attack as it stands.

Yes, Chitty. Ajax have a reputation for producing players and managers that don't understand football.

With the Charity Shield just a couple of days away, let's have a table. Everybody loves a table, don't they?

This one is called Total Titles Won. It has a catchy name, doesn't it? I hope you like it as much as I do.

I reckon it should be another good season ahead at the Emirates of nearly qualifying for the Champions League.

How many nearlys on the bounce will that be?

Now, tell me ladies and gentlemen of Teakdoor.

Where should my annual season bet go?

I don´t think we'll win the League this year (we'll save that for next season), but with a man with a method at the helm, we'll surely be picking up a trophy or 3.

FA Cup, Liverpool Cup or Europa League? Or all 3?

I'll put a team in over the next week, but if City and Liverpool are doing well and United aren't, I'll be out.

    is it an italian team?

^^ on methods, are you suggesting the other 7 managers that preceded Ballbag didn't have methods and that is why they failed?

They might have had methods, but they weren't schooled in the methods of totaalvoetbal.

(Btw, that's not a slogan for a German car, Chitty )

There's only one bet worth having this season!

200-1 in previous years but only 80-1 this time.

    You know it makes sense.
