None of those Manchester utd fans are from Manchester, typical of their supporters demographic.

3 solid victories away to Watford, Chelsea and at home to Arsenal now, and challenging for the title. :-)

PL & CL double a possibility.

HISTORY OF THE FAMOUS MAN UTD..

So Utd fans wanna talk about history? ok lets talk about History! A club formed in 1878 in the dregs of Newton heath. It later moved outside Manchester to another dump called Trafford, in doing so it continued to lie to everyone that it was still a Manchester club, hiding from its real identity of Trafford.

During 1931 the club was going into bankruptcy and were attracting crowds of only 4,000 despite being in Div 1. This also meant that they had to have kits made on the cheap, hence why we call them rags today.

They were later bombed during the war by the Germans which meant neighbours Manchester City had to bale them out and let them play at Maine Road where Utd would go on to have their biggest ever attendance to date ( Not as big as Citys attendance against Stoke which stands as the biggest attendance in English club football today ).

After 37 years of Man Utd winning absolutely fuck all, former Manchester city player Sir Matt Busby came to the rescue!
In 1958 Utd were subject to an air disaster in Munich which resulted in most of the players being killed and unfortunately Man City Legend Frank Swift R.I.P. Man Utd however used this to their advantage by merchandising he Munich air disaster to its max. The council also gave Utd hand outs to help them build another team. This helped to strengthen Man Utds financial backbone and make sure they were not in trouble again any time soon.

In 1974 Utd were relegated by a Dennis Law back Heel who played for Manchester City at the time.

In 1986 a Scottish man that very few had heard of called Alex Ferguson took the job at Man Utd and helped them to finish 11th in the league table, they were to finish 11th again in the 88/89 season and the 13th the following year. You will hear people say that Alex Ferguson is the best manager in the world but in truth both Jose Mouriniho and Roberto Mancini have all won more trophies in their first 10 years of management than Fergie did in his first 10 years.

The 1992/93 season was a very important year as the league was changing over from Div1 to the Premiership and this meant that alot of money was going to be pumped into football and in particular, the winners. Man Utd spent £15.2 million pounds of borrowed money to enable them to win their first title in many years. £15.2 million pounds sounds like peanuts today but back then it was an extortionate amount of money to spend.
The funding that they received for winning this title put there financial position head and shoulders above the rest.
They later decided to be the first club to go PLC and advertise the club in Asia which in turn brought more revenue.

By the 1994/95 season Utd had spent 14.5 Million pounds on players including breaking British transfer record with Andy Cole. Utd had the spent a further 14.9 Million pounds by the 97/98 season enabling more success, once again they had spent more than any other football club at this point. By the 99/00 season Utd went on to spend a further 45 million on great players such as Mark Bosnich, Jesper Blomqvist, Massimo Taibi and Mikael Silvestre. Bettween 2001 and 2004 Utd spent a further 139 million on players, at this point they had broken FIVE British transfer records. For the remainder of the Premier league years Utd went on to spend a further 282 million pounds on players.

Manchester Utds success brought with it plastic, glory hunting fans from Ireland, down south and Asia. These fans came to OT in their numbers which in turn forced the local Mancunian Utd fan to sit at home and watch the games on sky. These plastic/ glory hunting fans that came from a far had no passion or patrisum and pretty much killed off any atmosphere in OT.
During this time, Malcolm Glazier came to the club with interests of his own. Alot of Utd fans were unhappy with this so being the "great loyal supporters" that they are, they formed another club called FC Utd.

These days Utd fans can be seen gloating about the past, but only sections of the past that they choose to remember. Thats the history, now lets talk about present and future. Utd won absolutely fuck all this season and fielded a team that is probably their worst of the last 20 years. Utd have a debt within the club that rises £250,000 per day and it does not seem like its going to get better time any quickly. Alex Ferguson, the man that bought their success is now 70 years old and cant go on forever. To top it off Rivals Manchester City are the current English champions and the richest club in the world! The present and the future does not look that great for Utd which is why they will constantly talk about history.

Tis the word on la rue. Erik ten Hag mentioned in the Evening News as well.

And, let's be honest, while I'm feeling magnanimous, we're never gonna really challenge for the big pots while my hero's in charge.

    Happy now, dil/cy?

Looking back at that, and you definitely didn't give me enough credit for my Diogo Shallot effort.

Keane showing more passion than Maguire has managed all season. I hadn't seen this before.

"I'd grab Ole and say why are you playing Fred?"

They were enough to make Patrick do a little wee wee in his knickers.

You should have asked Vieira....if you could catch him when he was running away.
