I saw him being linked with Spurs the other day. Why would he go there?

Jadon Sancho set to join Manchester United after PS73m deal agreed | Manchester United | The Guardian
"The player has asked to wear No 7 at United but no decision has been taken on that yet. That shirt is currently worn by Edinson Cavani, who signed a fresh one-year deal towards the close of last season."
Catfight at Carrington.
^ Like Ronnie when he moved to Real, probably give him another number for a year, to promote shirt sales the following season when he changes to 7.
Damn good news either way. :yup:
great signingyou were so short of young english forwards
can he play center back?
We should go all out for Kalvin Phillips
Indeed, he's the most Paul Scholes like player I've seen for a long time, occasional rash tackles and all. He likes to get forward, plays some instinctive blind passes that would work well with Bruno, and has a decent shot on him.
Problem is, he's not only a Leeds player, he's a Leeds local. Just can't see him wanting to come to United, no matter what the salary.
Looking like Varane will be the next to arrive from Real Madrid, but the Evening News said yesterday that we're looking at the possibility of signing 2 centre backs as well. 43 mil for Varane. Mata given a new one year contract and Heaton signed as a(nother) back up keeper.
Manchester United close to signing Real Madrid's Raphael Varane - sources
Get Jones off the wage bill, shift Bailly/Lindelof and one of Henderson/de Gea, maybe Williams too and there should be enough in the kitty for more signings. Word on the street is that Ole has had enough of Martial and is looking to also ditch him.
^ The amount of multiniks that lad has!

Raphael Varane: Man Utd given permission to discuss personal terms ahead of potential move from Real Madrid
Man Utd continue talks with Raphael Varane over personal terms ahead of potential transfer from Real Madrid, with fee between clubs yet to be agreed; France international is thought to be open to moving to Old Trafford with his current deal at Real running out in 2022.
Fok yes
Possibly Eduardo Camavinga
He could just be the sort of dynamic player Ole wants to complete his signings wish list. It's no secret Ole is interested, and indeed United have had some informal talks with Caarnavinga's management team.
He's young too at just 18, fast, reads the game beyond his years ... could be another masterstroke by the manager IF it happens...
I agree about Anthony Martial, by the way.
From a great start in his debut , he's had some terrific performances and goals.
Trouble is, he's also had some stinkers.
Not enough consistency for those good games, far too much mediocrity. Shame really...at £36M when he came he had all the promise that the price tag implied.
Honestly...it just has not happened.
Lets get some cash back for him!
Actually there's quite a bit of deadw...surplus to requirements players at OT.
Where do we start?
Jones is a given.
Lindelof.. yeah, and thanks. ok while it lasted. now its over.
Bailly... if he can stay un-injured for long enough to sell. Actually.. he gave quite a few good performances but with Wan-Bissaka and the all-star Shaw in the 'chairs', he would be a bit player at best.
Ha someone bought Lingard yet? if not... hurry up. we dont need him. seriously,, we are overloaded in the midfield with quality.
As mentioned...Martial. he can take his ball home with him when he goes....
Looks like Dan James might also be surplus. I think he did make an impact and might stick around as a squad player. Personally, I hope he does. His speed is pretty useful and he can score goals. He's crap at crossing though!
Same for Alex Telles. there have already been talks of interest from foreign clubs but , we cannot sell everyone. Shaw can be injured and Telles is a good stand in for that.
Then there's those 'keepers. I wont go with the flow here. I think, as long as he can afford it, OGS should keep them both. Why? United will obviously be challenging for everything, this coming season. We need a solid and reliable squad, with minimum 4 competitions to play for. It worked last season despite Henderson's rumblings about being 'number 1'. Well, he is number 1 now, and De Gea is not so bothered. 2 great keepers. I think thats worth something and we should continue, for next season at least.
Rashford, Cavani and Greenwood are Ok up front but in 12 months, Cavani will be gone. That's about the same time that Kane will come available. lol. yes... like thats going to happen! what I'm thinking is, we are Ok up front, with attacking / scoring support from Sancho, Bruno, Pogba (if he's still with us and if he turns up to the game, that is) and...Shaw. and Varane. And Carnavinga. wait... is there anyone in the proposed team that cannot score? Dont think DeGea scored for United but everyone else can score, right!?
Just my ramblings... others may disagree....
lets see... new season is getting close now! bring it on!
Looks like Varane almost done for 41 mill.
A steal.
28 yrs old and should be the next Pallister/Bruce, Stam/Johnsen, Rio/Vidic alongside Bonce for the next 5-6 seasons.
Along with Sancho for 115 mill is a great bit of summer business.
Pogba likely going to PSG for what..... 55-60 odd mill?
Could see another 80-100 mill signing if that goes ahead.
Would rather see Lingard go and they bring in Camavinga as a defensive MF that frees up Pogba to play up near Bruno.
Is Halleluja on the transfer list ?
Haven't seen that old tosser lately :)
'The United Way'...
Quote:
Should the Varane deal be completed as expected, United will have spent just short of £400m on players since Solskjaer was appointed manager on a permanent basis in March 2019.
That eclipses the outlay of Manchester City (£298m), Chelsea (£262m), Tottenham (£255m) Arsenal (£243m) and Liverpool (£119m) in the same period.
Raphael Varane: Man Utd confirm agreement with Real Madrid to sign defender - BBC Sport
Hardly surprising given how far behind they had fallen. With the possible exception of Donny van de Beek, all the big money ones have been spot on.
According to reports, we've had no encouragement from Camavinga. His representatives were approached, but they made it clear that he wants to go to Spain.
Very hopeful ahead of the season though, as erratic as he is, I still feel we'd be stronger with Pogba in the squad tied down on a long term contract. Many would disagree though; he's like Marmite.
