Another United legend going to drink from the poisoned chalice now.

I would have appointed Rooney myself,he's doing an OK job at Plymouth.

Has Hal gone into hibernation for the Winter?

The Ten Hag sacking is believed to be costing United in the region of £13.5 million in compensation.
It would have been higher, but the Dutchman was forced to take a reduction on his £9 million-year salary this season after failing to qualify for the Champions League.
A one-year extension over the summer, however, ensures he still secures a handsome pay out at Old Trafford to cover 20 remaining months on a contract expiring in June 2026.
Senior sources close to talks declined to comment on a precise figure when estimates were put to them by Telegraph Sport.
Jose Mourinho’s £20 million compensation deal in 2018 remains the most expensive sacking in the club’s history.
The sacking comes just four months after the club announced it would be making 250 job losses as part of efforts to make the club more sustainable.

Why don't United try and get Fergie back in, its not like he's got anything else to do now he's been sacked from his previous job?

The twatterati seem to think the Sporting Lisbon manager will be next for the Theatre of Dweebs cash windfall.

Best check the small print though, the way it's going they might try and charge him for parking.

Sources close to negotiations say the 39-year-old was demanding a contract worth £7m-a-year when negotiating with West Ham in the summer and is likely to command even more by replacing Ten Hag. Amorim met with Sir Dave Brailsford, deputy head of sport at United's minority owners INEOS, last week and had verbally agreed the move to Old Trafford. United are in negotiations with Sporting over compensation for Amorim, who has a release clause of at least £8.3m.

    Rejected Liverpool.

    Rejected Chelsea.

    Rejected taking over from Guardiola.

But said yes to Manchester United.

Because when Manchester United want something, we get it.

    Hey, harry.

Chido Obi Martin, your star academy lad that we took off you in the summer, scored a hat trick for our under 18s at the weekend.

Chido Obi-Martin scores rapid hat trick on Man Utd U18s debut - ESPN

Chido Obi-Martin showed off why he is considered one of football's most prodigious young talents on Saturday, scoring a hat trick inside 14 minutes in his first game for the Manchester United under-18s having left rivals Arsenal in the summer.
Obi-Martin, 16, saw his star grow last season after scoring 10 goals in a game for Arsenal's academy, before turning down the opportunity to sign his first professional contract with the north London club.

Chido Obi Martin confirms Man United transfer from Arsenal - ESPN

"Very happy to sign with this amazing club, time to focus and achieve all my dreams," the post on social media read.
"Thanks to everyone who has h}elped me get this far."

You're just a stepping stone to United, harry, and always will be.

Ruben Amorim is an outstanding young coach. The work he has done at Sporting has been incredible, winning them the title for the first time after 19 years and qualifying for the Champions League.
It's a very attacking, intense style of football with a back three. He doesn't change anything - always the same system, formation and patterns of play.
I don't want to be negative because he hasn't arrived yet but what works in Portugal might not always work in England against better teams.
The way he plays is very risky at times. That's okay in Portugal, I'm not sure for the Premier League.
