I doubt that's his fault, tbh.

Obviously. The only thing that can put Man U back on a level playing field with Liverpool and City will be if one of those Maktoum brothers buys the place

We'd be quite alright on our own just like we were before.

    http://twitter.com/talkSPORT/status/...7Ctwgr%5Etweet

It really is quite shocking what's permissible in the world of high finance.

Imagine "buying" a money-making business, without a single pound of debt, which you couldn't afford, but the investment banks and assorted funds lend you the money anyway. A few months down the line you move that debt onto the business and are free to do as you please knowing that the debt is now somebody else's concern and not yours. And do as you please is exactly what you do, continuing to milk the company for millions and millions each year for your own personal gain.

Can you imagine the likes of me and you telling the bank that you can't actually afford the mortgage on the mansion you've seen, but you've got a great plan anyway. They'd have security onto us in seconds.

That's why the hardcore proper Manchester Utd fans started up FC United Of Manchester.

If all the fans had done that then the Glaziers would be long gone.

Looks like they are making a signing for 50mill and 80k a week from Palace.
    Medical being done now.

Isaan loves them. No matter what they are doing the conversation centers around Manchester United.

Man u, man u, man u is an oft heard word.

I don’t have a dog in this fight, but I am conscious of once great club, now in the doldrums. As a non partisan observer, that saddens me.
The days of Cantonna running the show, with Yorke, Cole and Sherringham banging goals in for fun are behind them now.

The big clubs of today have investment that allows obscene amounts of money to be spent on players and someone smart, to manage them. United need a manager of the same peer group as Pep and Juergen.

They have the players and the investment, but just like the UK government, they are seriously lacking in the leadership department.

I really do hope they find someone to bring back the attacking style, backed by a hard defensive edge.

Daniel James is a good buy and he will make a difference. This move is at the right time for him too.

He can run at the opposition defence and more importantly, he can get past them.

    He can score goals too.

United need a couple of wingers who can get into the opposition half fast and get that pass in to the centre quickly. Not running up the field and then stopping to see whats what, and losing the advantage as the opposition swarms back.

One touch all the way.. needs some confidence and link up as to where those waiting players are for the cross.

    Daniel James....Young, fast, and focused...

(bit like me, but I am not available)

    Are you having a larf?

4 goals in 33 appearances. And a 58% dribbling accuracy. In the Championship?

Hi Dillinger, lets see what happens... sure I said 'he can score goals', didn't say lots of goals but he got the potential to grow with United.

Maybe the set up he was in , in the championship was different.

He's not afraid to run up the field and take on and get past opposition. and hes got the speed.

Lets take stock half way through the season - we will surely know a lot more then, right?!

I think hes a good buy at 15M, I'm guessing you think otherwise?

He's a united player now though, so either way we will start to see who's right once we are into August

    Bring it on!!

^ i hope you are right but I watched an interview with his teammate from the Championship who said James couldnt believe his luck and that last year he was on loan at some non league team and now he's signed for Manchester United.
His dad's just died as well.Bless. Hopefully you are right and we see him blowing kisses to the sky a dozen or so times ala Frank Lampard

Players they've improved since that bunch in 1992?

    It's completely unconvincing.

In fairness, AWB looks a good buy.

I guess MU backtracked on that 'add on after 25 CL appearances' thing.

Someone whose name you can't remember is your fourth example of a recently improved player, after a sweaty?

The good news is...Ed's got the internet...

Now we’re not saying that Manchester United based their entire summer transfer strategy on WhoScored ratings, but a quick search of high-ranking outfield players under the age of 22 in the Premier League last season brings up a top eight of Trent Alexander-Arnold, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Dwight McNeil, Marcus Rashford, Juan Foyth, Declan Rice, Sean Longstaff and David Brooks. Take out the players already at Champions League clubs, the player Manchester United already own and another they have already rejected, and you basically get a four-man shortlist of Old Trafford summer targets. Change your settings to the Championship and Daniel James was the highest-rated young attacking player not already owned by a Premier League club.

    I let it go, dill.
West Brom have some of the most exciting youngsters in the country. Last season they had more England internationals in the age group sides than did United or Liverpool.

Rekeem Harper is being linked with several top sides, including Liverpool and Spurs. Youth will be key for us over the coming years, provided we can keep hold of them.
