Just watching the MOTD highlights and Shearer's saying it should have been 4 or 5 to United at HT. As good as Rashford is, unplayable at times today and in recent games, that's what we're lacking.

Someone clinical to make sure it ends up in the back of the net has got to be bought in January. Even if it's a short term purchase before Haaland signs for the mighty Manchester United in the Summer.

Btw, strange on this thread without the likes of Cy and Harry giving us their opinions over the last few hours, isn't it?

Bad night for the ABUs, I guess.

At least Nammers has been posting and isn't consumed by bitterness despite his team's failings.

Hazza has me onignore which i consider a result. I don't mind the ribbing and banter between supporters but having lived through the 70s with crowd violence i have never got the outright tribal hate that some have for rivals. Nobody likes their team losing but if you get beaten by a better team on the day just accept it - i think i have too much of a rugger mentality to be a bile filled hard core "proper supporter" like Hazza.

I think I'm probably more like Harry in the way I look at rival supporters. E.g. Chitty's a [at][at][at][at] cos he's a blue.

By the way, has anyone seen the last time someone got in behind and overtook Wan Bissaka? I believe it was on the A5103 on Princess Parkway heading towards Knutsford about 3 weeks ago.

Have you not seen Martial's conversion rate? Ok he can go missing in games, but when he gets the ball he is clinical...wait til Pogba is back and he's getting fed. Its midfield that needs strengthening first imo.

That's only because Martial, Rashford and James were fit. There is no back-up for them, other than Greenwood (1 PL start), Lingard, no goals or assists in about 29 months, and 45 yr old Mata.

The MF playing now is pretty much the back-up and they've just schooled Jose's Tottenham and Pepe's Man City.

But yes, to be a genuine automatic top-4 team again they need to strengthen the MF as well as the attack.

I wouldnt say they bossed the midfield in those games. Packed the defence gave up most of the posseaaion and got the ball out to the 3 speed merchants up front. Although did you see McTominay skin KDB last night?

This. Both midfield and attack need strengthening. One or two injuries and we're fucked.

The progress he's made is unbelievable. What a player he's turning into and he is, as Ole said the other night, "undroppable."

Minutes silence for him now before the Leicester game. I didn't know he had resigned in February of 82 before they won the European Cup later that year.

Bet he took that one to the grave.

    Villa 1-4 Leicester

So where's Rodgers gonna end up then? He's always about climbing ladders and said only recently that United and Liverpool are the biggest clubs in the land by far, but he's already managed one of them and he's got no chance of getting an offer at United.

So that leads us to the next tier of top clubs such as Arsenal and Spurs followed another level below by the oil clubs: City and Chelsea.

Spurs have got Mourinho and Chelsea have got Lampard, who is doing well with a young team, so that's them out of the deal, which means that he's left with Arsenal and City. Arsenal are shit and it's gonna be a massive job, but they are a much bigger club than City. However, they need a manager right away and he wouldn't leave Leicester now, surely?

Rodgers to City it is then when Guardiola finally combusts/is given the tin tac at the end of the season. You heard it here first.

He's just signed a new contract, hasn't he? To 2025. Not that contracts mean much these days.

Yeah, it just makes sure the club get a nice payment when he leaves. As i said, he's all about climbing ladders and will already be looking at one of the bigger clubs.

He didn't fuck Celtic off on the verge of another treble to spend his life at Leicester. It's all about stepping stones with him.

He just got a 5 million pound pay rise apparently.

I think he'll be happy working for the chimps.

Leicester will have their top players pillaged over the next two transfer windows and there's no way he'll stick around for that.

He'll be off come the end of the season if one of the big clubs come in for him, which is what he's clearly hoping for, and he'll just get them to match his current salary.

    It's Manchester United, Nammers.

The same was said when they won the PL a few seasons ago. Here they are, 6 points ahead of 3rd in December.

Though Rogers is a slimy koont. One whiff of the city job and he'd be off. Would be great as he wouldn't last 3 years.

That's my point, L. Look at the way he left Celtic when they were on the verge of a treble. He wants to be at a top club playing Champions League football pretty much year in year out.

Look at the man's teeth for fucks sake. He didn't spend that sort of dough on them to manage Leicester.
