Hell of a comeback, especially considering the injuries.

    Well done that man.

It was great to watch. I like an underdog and despite all his shenanigans from the past I was happy for him.

I'll put my hand up and admit being totally wrong about his chances of ever being able to compete at PGA level again, let alone win the Masters. You'd have needed a vivid imagination to think he could come back from where he was not long back, a few things against him were:
1- Having had multiple back surgeries, and needing another one to stop the pain of swinging a golf club.
2- Already being rich, Billionaire rich.
3- Being on the wrong side of 40.
4- Having the yips which meant he couldn't chip, a common problem for people learning who have no confidence in themselves but you never see someone chunking simple green-side chip shots 1 meter continuously at Pro level.
5- The depth of young talent on the tour right now.

Seriously, I thought he was one missed cut away from making his retirement press conference at one stage.

Yep same, thought he was done and too proud so would walk away from it. Yes it’s corny, but.. great entertainment and TV last night, to think where he came from, early life at a time and in a sport of preppy white elites at least, and racism at worst is a wonderful story. Will hopefully inspire many other under privileged persons to give their dreams a go.

Absolutely right Cyrille! And chanting ‘U S A’.. ‘U S A’.. on my own, drinking Budweiser and eating Twinkies with tears in my eyes!

Don't wanna post too much, as the posts don't make sense when you get the electric tennis racquet.

    I disagree.

It's hard to beat Bob Champion and Aldaniti.

WTF ?He was a military brat and middle and upper middle class his whole life. Nothing wrong with that and he never made out anything else.

Hero? What a complete debasement of the word. He is a weak willed, spoiled ass professional golf player. Nothing more, and certainly not a "hero".
