I feel that it could be a good 2019 for the Convicts...

Thing is they always do tend to do OK in Super Rugby in the World Cup years when the ABs are being rested.

Might as well post this is here...

Seems that 'World League' thing is gaining some traction:

    KEY POINTS:

    • 12-team World League from 2020
    • Japan and USA to join Rugby Championship
    • Deal worth $10-14m a year for each nation
    • Pacific Island nations locked out
    • Six Nations unchanged

^ Japan and USA joining, that'll nicely decrease the ABs quality and increase their injuries, so I'm all for it.

As well they should. $10-$14 million per country in the big scheme of things isn't that much. The physical toll on players would be significant.

Chiefs getting their arses handed to them by the Sunwolves at home. Still, they have the 1/2 time team talk to look forward to.

The Chiefs team is going to get an ear full, no doubt. The Sunwolves are taking full advantage of a very listless Hamilton side, so credit to them.

The Bulls are looking very good!

Something seems to have sparked in them, playing some nice rugby too.

    Super Rugby 2019 Round 4

    *ding ding*

    Kickoff times local and (TST)

    Friday, 8 March

    Hurricanes v Highlanders 1935 (1335)
    Rebels V Brumbies 1945 (1545)

    Saturday, 9 March

    Crusaders v Chiefs 1715 (1115)
    Blues v Sunwolves 1935 (1335)
    Waratahs v Reds 1745 (1545)
    Lions v Los Jaguares 1505 (2005)
    Bulls v Sharks 1715 (2215)
    Bye - Stormers

    +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

    Round 4 ruminations

Hurricanes v Highlanders -- Canes for the win by 5
    Rebels v Brumbies -- Rebs by 5
Crusaders v Chiefs -- Sadists by 19 at least (Chiefs look like a second division NPC team)
Blues v Sunwolves -- I hate the Blues , but I reckon they should beat the Japanese side by 12
'Tahs v Reds -- Reds aren't that bad and the Waratahs aren't as good as their record suggests. Reds by 4
Lions v Los Jaguares -- The Lions haven't looked so good their last two outings. Los Jaguares have a decent pack up front and some speedy guys like Ramiro Moyano out the back. Jaguares by 6
Bulls v Sharks -- Bulls looked great against the listless Lions last week whilst the Sharks looked average against the Stompies. Bulls by 8
    pues, estamos aqui

I thought they were pretty lucky to say the least; certainly the ref gave them everything (mostly 50/50 calls) in the last 20 minutes. Not impressive at all, but sometimes getting wins when not playing well gives you time to come good at the end of the season, so you can't count them out. Certainly the ABs in the Canes team (excluding Savea who is playing well) need the game time because they are looking very average (but, they don't need to come into form until the WC, so not much to worry about at this stage).
    Cycling should be banned!!!

You're being kind... Scott has been outperforming them by some distance for a fair while now - the least glamorous and well-known, but made the difference at Twickenham and been playing great for months.

Brums dominating the Rebels 19-3 at the break. Rebs start the 2nd half with two players in the bin.

...and thirty seconds into the second half the Rebels score a try...

Sitting down now hoping to see the Chiefs get a pasting.

But, you never quite know with the Chiefs...
