I don't know. I wasn't at any of those games to determine if a vocal positive crowd was an issue.
Plus I don't understand the finer aspects of Union as I played League.

The gross points like a better scrum or lineout turnovers are obvious, but the finer points are not to me.

As a side issue, apparently the Indian crowd at the first cricket test last week were relatively omnipotent.

Cricket is to Indians as Union is to the KIWI's

But because they have better basic handling skills than any other team and spend more time keeping these skills sharp.

    Thoughts?
The reason that you think that the ABs cheat, get a better ride with the refs, is because you are looking for it.Same reason why I think that the Poms are dirty underhanded cheats etc etc.( It's obviously true in my unjaundiced eyes )

They have had better skills and better training IMO, but the rest of the world are catching up (Have caught up?). There is not much between the top teams at all.Any one of them could win.Any of the top six teams are capable of beating the AB's. Any team on their day can beat anybody.

There have been a few cracks appearing in the AB's of late.Maybe due to being the end of a very long season.Maybe because the opposition have been very very good.

Well one could argue that the cracks have been there since 2015 if you are honest.

It's just the cyclical nature of rugby. They dominated for a period, other teams have caught up, the challenge for the coaches now is to find another way to increase the gap again.

I think too much is being read into this season. It's not like the ABs have suddenly become a bad team and better to be having these issues to deal with now than heading to the tournament. Their records and form in 2010 and 2014 was less than stellar as well.

If I was honest, I would say that the cracks have always been there. Nobody exploited them.......

Ahh but just like the ABs and the homer refs, you are not honest when it comes to Rugby.

One has to be pretty stupid to paint one's face black. Is it any wonder that New Zealanders are the most miserable people on God's earth ? I avoid them at all costs. Life is hard enough without having social intercourse with these people.

Sweeping generalizations about an entire country are bit sad and pointless.

I agree completely. The only things worse is the lack of a sense of humour and the inability to laugh at oneself.

Heh you buggers don't toss up my thread with this bullshit.

For the first time ever I wrote something nice about the All Blacks.

I see that the WElsh media are pushing the idea that Gatland could be the next ABs coach. Dreamers. He's no where near good enough although having the ABs adopt a one dimensional game plan would be great for everyone else.

Yep can't see that either. Apparently Schmidt hasn't completely and utterly ruled it out despite his previous comments. The job would be his if he wanted it.

And please to all fuckery if not him then let it be any one but Foster!

The present All Black coach did his apprenticeship in Wales and we taught him all he knows. Granted, he does not know much, but what he does know is down to us. Now, it's time for you to put up with Gatland. Get on with it !

At Wales, Hanson had a 35% win ratio. Only slightly worse than Gatlands 50%. England wouldn't want him despite the Kiwi press saying the England do.

haven't given it any thought but gatland without SHAUN EDWARDS wouldn't make it.but as a duo E&G would be more than a force to be reckond with.

I think Edwards has had enough of playing 2nd fiddle to Up The Middle Gatland. Also I'm not sure that his approach would suit the ABs either.

One thing that is interesting is that Kiwi players talking constantly about "expressing themselves" which is a world away from Gatlands "At 6.23 I want you to do this. If that leads to a scrum, you have to do this etc etc etc".

Vern Cotter single handedly turned Scotland from a totally shit team into one who can now at least compete with everyone thought he would have gone back to NZ instead of going back to club rugby in France as surely had he done so he'd have been a front runner to take over from Hansen. Although Townsend has done well and maybe even improved Scotland since taking over from Cotter it's still Cotter who all Jocks are thankful and ever grateful to for turning the Scotland team around.

The ABs are indeed a very fine side and justifyably at the very top of the world rankings.

Everyone wants to beat them. A few teams are capable of beating them. They proved in 2015, that they have the confidence, ability and self belief to win RWC. That has not changed, despite the monumental effort by Ireland to beat them in a one off game.

They have all the requirements to go all the way again, and because it’s a rather special tournament, and they are well attuned to the special effort required, I honestly can’t see anyone getting close to beating them.

They won’t be making excuses that’s for sure. Maybe Hansen was doing what most other coaches were doing. Checking his options and his squad depth.

Coaches do that when there’s little at stake, unlike in the RWC. Count them out at you peril, even if it does allow Wales to carry on dreaming. Think back to the 70s when a similar population from a small country were playing entertaining rugby and wiping the floor with NH opposition.
