Now that you mention it, one thing I've always found a little odd about Hard Knocks is how relatively poorly seeded it is on torrent sites. Surprises me because I'd have thought it would attract a massive audience but at times it can be difficult -- though by no means impossible -- to find episodes.*

*Allegedly. I wouldn't actually know, I don't download stuff so take note HBO / FBI / Smeg / Whoever else is monitoring my posts.

HBO is the most aggressive at going after torrents. Since most of the people who watch this are based in the US that explains why they are not well seeded as you will be hearing from HBO's attorneys.

As someone who lives in the US I never use the public trackers most of you use. I would wind up getting my interwebs shut off. I only frequent private invite only trackers.

That said it is well seeded on those sites.

Ahh yeah well that stands to reason.

Good thing I was only posting hypothetically about downloading, aye HBO...

i just finished watching the game. i really thought atlanta was going to score and win.

a defender being able to push a receiver out of bounds if he's in the air with the ball in his hands doesn't seem right.

a couple of good games coming up this weekend.

you're referring to the fantasy league you wouldn't join because i hurt your widdle feelers? or just afraid you would have gotten your ass kicked because you don't really know shit about football?

but even if you had joined, it only would have been 6 teams, and you can't have a league with 6 teams. no matter, i had a pretty good draft in my regular league. it could have been fun to have a TD league, but whatever.

now then, back to the nfl...

julio jones looked good tonight despite not playing in the pre-season, but couldn't get in for a TD...shades of last year.

Frankly there just doesn't appear to be many football fans on TD. Would have been fun to have had a TD league. I played with Bobcock in a league several years back after we tried and failed to get a TD league going.

as you know, 10 is really the minimum. and TD just couldn't produce that number.

It didn't I have not had a regular fantasy league for a few years after a friend disbanded his. I really have little interest in playing in a random league so I just don't play. I have a money keeper fantasy baseball league I have played in for many years all with local friends here. Other than that I don't do much. The baseball league is serious money as it requires a $50 buy in and then there are lots of side bets placed as the season goes on.

big week 1 takeaways for me:

khalil mack's 1st game with the bears: a sack, an INT, a fumble recovery and a TD. jesus.
    jimmy g: 3 picks. ouch.
andrew luck looks good after surgery.
worst team in the league? bills or cards.
the cowboys have got no passing game....dez is laughing.
aaron rodgers is the best QB in the league.

Seahawks looked good and bad at times. One thing is clear the Legion of Boom is dead. RIP.

It was a pleasure all these years to watch a defense like that. It will be hard to get used to just an average D.

Oh I read it. Some around here are calling it a Sherman hit piece. I think some of it may be true and some of it is BS.

That said Wilson did not play very well at all.

They would be right. In his defense, kind a hard to play well, when you’re constantly picking your ass up off the turf. I think he was sacked six times

Monday night football has been really good so far. The Rams and Raiders are really going at it for Jon Gruden's return to coaching.

the rams/raiders game was good. stafford looked horrible in the early game--5 picks.

btw, 1st year head coaches are 0-7.

yeah, it was distracting...but is that because it's so foreign to have a female voice doing play-by-play ....or is it just her voice?

espn has a woman doing baseball....and that's a little weird, but i don't find her annoying.

That is Jessica Mendoza she was a Olympic gold medalist in Softball. She is on point and knows her shit. The key is her voice is not fucking annoying.
