    Yeah, I'd be interested.
    Yahoo? Or someone else?
    I'm familiar with Yahoo's FF.
But I imagine the others are not much different.
    Go Eagles (again)

    I’m in as well.

Might need some pointers though, bit new to fantasy leagues.

I am familiar with Yahoo and a live draft.
We used to do it on the weekend before the 1st game. (because injuries can affect your team of course)
So, if that's how we do it (and you don't have to, you can have Yahoo pick your team based on a random order), everyone in the league (or if you can't make it, Yahoo would pick your team for you based on their rankings, which isn't so bad), Everyone would get ready about 10 minutes before and when the draft starts, each one had about 2-3 minutes to pick your player. When it gets to the end, it rubber bands back. (in other words if you are last in round 1, you are 1st in round 2, it goes backwards for round 2)
Your team consists of 1 QB, 2 RBs, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 Kicker and 1 defense.
Then you play each other every week.
Watch out for the bye weeks as you don't want too many players on your team with the same bye week.
You also have a bench of 4 or 5 players. (usually 1 QB, 1 RB, 1 WR and whoever else you need to take care of your player's first bye week)
The draft takes about 45 minutes for a league of 10 teams.
    Then you have your team.
You are then interested in most of the games every week as either you have players on one of the teams or your opponent for the week does.
Makes the NFL much more interesting IMO.

hopefully we get at least 8 (minimum for a league I believe) or 10 people interested. (can have 12 also)
    Looking forward to it.

    great!
we'll need to decide as a league which platform we use...yahoo, espn, nfl.com, etc... and yeah, they're all pretty much the same.

they'll be a whole host of other things we need to decide: type and date of draft, PPR or standard, how many bench players, etc...

    i've spotted the ringer.

so as of now the league consists of:

    fiddler
    antrobertson
    raycarey
    bsnub
    samsara

let's try and get 5-7 more to have a proper league.

again, anyone is welcome to join.

I prefer ESPN myself as that is what I have used the most and I think it is the best. But I have done yahoo as well in the past so I am open.

i'm partial to epsn over yahoo, but i don't care all that much which we use...i would like to do a live draft, and the weekend before the opening weekend sounds good to me.

i support using a snake format you described for the draft.

what do you think about having one flex rb/wr instead of 3 wr?

I don't always have time to be commissioner and be online. (which reminds me to post my latest backpacking trip soon, last week in Taiwan)
I think all the commissioner does is make sure everyone gets the messages on any changes (which we can do just as well, here)
And set the date for the draft.
I vote for just a standard league to keep it simple.
Yahoo preferred for me. (are they all the same? Maybe, so it wouldn't matter)
Any wagers on top four finishers or anything like that?
I know we can't gamble money but what else?
A beer to the winner at least, aye?

Maybe we should hold a vote? I will say this though. I played on yahoo for years until someone invited me over to ESPN trust me when I say it was an upgrade. I never looked back.

Would be interesting but I do not see how. I am big into fantasy baseball and I play in a money league that requires a $50 buy in and then we do lots of side bets as the season progresses. Catch is I know all those guys IRL so collecting is much easier. I think this will have to be gentlemen wagers only so as not to discourage people from playing.

Black uniforms like the All Blacks. Guy on left is a halfback. On the right, a tight end.
Aside from that all simularities to rugby are purely coincidental. Enjoy.

    That’s the easy part!

Thanks to a PlayStation and too much time on my hands at uni I know the ins and outs of the game.

Fantasy leagues and drafts and all that other stuff might as well be Spanish as far as I’m concerned though.

That's a shame but if we don't have the numbers...

I've just about resigned myself to my Browns supporting fate also. Or should that be deluded, they looking quite good so far.

Dunno but there's defo some underlying conflict there.

That meeting where Jackson laid down the law to the other guy -- the Defensive coordinator I think? Can't remember his name -- was seriously awkward.
