    Play Offs.
Villa are the form team. I can see Derby beating Leeds, then losing to Villa in the Final.

No pressure on Albion now. They are rank outsiders

Well they have a new manager who goes way back with the club.

After years of mediocrity they've been enjoying a brief run of good form.

    What could go wrong?

    They look very leaky.
Albion went through their defence like a hot knife through butter, but couldn't take their chances.
The order of likelihood is the same as the order in which they finished in the league, imo.

People who actually watch rate Albion's chances much higher than you lot seem to.

    FarkeLife.
    OTBC!
Norwich City Champions and well deserved, with the best football played over the season and most goals scored.
    Champions 2nd Division 2019, 2004, 1986, 1972.
Great club, humble staff and players, best coach and great genuine loveable English owners (lets be havin' ya).
Congrats to Sheffield United and Chris Wilder, another great manager, the table does not lie, after 46 games the two best teams went up.
As for Dirty Leeds, another end of season collapse, another implosion.
Losing to Ipswich, who only won 4 matches out of 45 previously... As for the Thespian Bamford, what a disgrace. No wonder Rugby League is more popular in Leeds than acting/football.
Hope ScumThug Lambert takes them down to L2, could'nt happen to a nicer Glaswegian.
I fancy Derby to beat Leeds as Leeds are now in freefall, and Villa to beat Derby in the final.
I think NCFC will survive the Premiership comfortably next year, and my Championship team to watch out for next year is Swansea who have a great coach and an exciting young brand of football.

    I don't.

Normally teams as heavily reliant on one goalscorer in a lower league struggle with the step up.

They may survive, let's face it who knows, but imo it will not be 'comfortable'.

Because others can see what you are blinded by. Baggies are a busted flush. If they were any good, they’d be up already. They are on a downward spiral now, bereft of ideas and exhausted.

    Villa to restore midlands pride.

I have some excellent, quality mates who are supporters but you are clearly not one of them, you disgusting wretch.

Impressive argument on the relative merits of the teams in the play offs Chas.

The breadth of the topics on which you daily parade your stupidity is almost impressive.

Seems you've done it yet again, you hilariously dumb cocksucker.

I don't like Liverpool (Man U fan), but I love the passion ...

So ... do they play oneone decent in the final?

Surely Man City made it through

If this is in the wrong thread, could some kind Mod move it pls?

No. This is the EFL Championship thread (the second tier in England).

Your video belongs in the Champions League thread: https://teakdoor.com/the-sports-room/...2018-19-a.html (Champion's League 2018/19)

Comfortable may have been the wrong word.
Yes they had the division's top scorer (29), but they scored nigh on 100 goals. Everyone chipped in, so no, not reliant on one man.
They also play attractive, fast, not scared to play on the floor, no hoof it in the air down the other end type football. They are young and have no fear. And the best coach. That is why i am confident.

It's a huge achievement after that player sell off too.

    Good luck to 'em.

Having said that, the two champions league semi finals will probably create more interest for lesser nations, who might one day aspire to EFL Championship standards.
Cyrilles team will be playing there next season if you need to check the standards.

    Ta velly much.
They've had Academy status 1 (same as top Prem clubs) for a while now, but what they did do this year was issue 5 mil in bonds to the supporters to invest and upgrade the academy and training facilities further.
4 first team players out of the academy this year.
What Webber has said is that he can confirm Norwich will spend the least amount of money next season out of 20 teams, guaranteed.
    Way forward.

    It seems so, doesn't it.

While there's a ton of money around in English football, waving something like the 25th biggest chequebook isn't going to do it.

The problem with developing young players then becomes holding onto them, though.

West Brom's experience with players like Izzy Brown for example.

In countries like the Netherlands the problem is on display on a national scale.

It is much more than a good balance between youth and experience. The players personal qualities and determination play a big part in it, as does team spirit.

Wilder will never lose the dressing room at United because he gave it to the players. Even Fatty Samuels had a kind word or two about the team and it’s managers.
