A mate sent this to me today.
I don't know if the Tigers still have many wins to go.... but I thought it was funny anyway.

Jeezuz the Sharks v Saints game was an error ridden bore-fest, both coaches must have aged 10 years in 80 minutes. HTF Matt Moylen is playing first grade is the biggest mystery in world sport...

The bar we watched the game in had a feed from Ch9 Oz which has some NRL games each weekend. The owner told us that they are not geo-blocked now as they were in the past (meaning you can stream the games from outside of Oz now without fucking about with hiding your IP). So finding a Ch9 stream online will give people some game coverage and for those with Android boxes some apps that definitely have Ch9 are RedBoxTV, SwiftStreamz, and MX Australian Live TV (which would be my recommendation as the picture quality is excellent).

I found the live picture quality on watchnrl.com was much improved from last weekend.

Also very happy to see the Tigers topple the Storm. 2 from 2 now. Yearha.
How many penalties did the refs give to try to give Slater a win in his 300th game?

Are you watching via the App or URL?. The pic quality is definitely better via the App, though in theory they should both be the same and default to HD when internet speed is high enough to do so. They got a heap of new sign-ups last weekend, I heard some bars that had it were standing room only on Saturday and bars without were deserted, nobody without it could find a feed for the 3 Saturday games.

I'm watching through the URL on a PC that sits next to the TV, connected with a HDMI cable.
The first few games that I watched (pre-season and round 1) the url was quite low quality.
All the games I watched this weekend were fine, with no noticeable deterioration at all.

One thing that pisses me off though, is if you don't watch the games in the order that they were played, sometimes you get the end of a previous game when you select the game to watch.

The NRL is proving to be a tipster's nightmare - NZ Herald

The Warriors are trying to suck me in by cunningly winning two games in a row.

Fuck youse! I'm not falling for it again!

    Mel's in on it!

Been down this road too many times: 'Oh, come and watch us we're winning!' say the Warriors; so I do and the cants start disappointing me.

    Every. Single. Time.

That'll be a function of your internet speed and stability unfortunately. The default is HD if the speed allows it and is continuously stable. Not much you can do about that and as we both know, da Fee-Eye is well known for having shit internet!.

Better than losing 2 games in a row .
They looked ok again this week, I can totally understand why people would be gun-shy of thinking the Warriors can compete this year but early indications are good!.

How good are the Tigers and Knights going though, dead-set champions

^Any team that fucks Kasiano and Graham off and pays more than $3.50 for Woods will be shit.

    And they deserve to be.

^ They should have sold the Morris brothers as they have been past it for 2 seasons now.

Only 2 games gone but the floggings were severe.

Having said that Melbourne and the Roosters are good sides.

^^Melbourne didn't look like a good side yesterday when the Tigers ambushed them . No idea how this works but Storm play Tigers again in 3 weeks time, in New Zealand.

Anyway where we're we?. That's right, the Dogs are fucked and Woods is useless.

^^ Yep, I am amazed how Woods gets selected for the N.S.W side and more amazed when Canterbury purchased him.

I was told they were in the running to purchase Cronk. A big miss there.

Tigers did well to get rid of him. Purchasing Ben Matulino, Robbie Rochow & Russell Packer more than made made up for losing him.
Lets face it, his only real redeeming talent is to stand up in tackles, turn and offload.
The game has evolved from when Artie Beetson did that for the Tigers.

I see the Dogs had a win.

Maybe just maybe they can have a decent season.

    Rugby League 2018-screenshot-2018-3-26-rugby-league

That Wests Tigers/Broncos match was weird to watch

Canberra have had their typical, in recent years, start to the season

    Parra were disappointing

    Titans for the wooden spoon?

On a brighter note, the Storm/Cowboys match didn't disappoint.
I like to watch both teams play, though Melbourne can be a little formulaic at times.

    Warriors three from three...

If they win a 4th on the trot it's the first sign of the End of Times.

^They've got the Chooks next, in Sydney, with the players starting to do what Cooper Cronk wants them to do in attack which is a very dangerous thing for oppositions. If NZ can compete in this, they're the real deal.

Rugby League 2018-nrl-seaeagles-png NRL fines Manly Sea Eagles $750,000 for salary cap breaches

The NRL has fined the Manly Sea Eagles $750,000 for breaches of the salary cap over the past five years, while two
officials have also received 12-month bans.

Of that amount, $250,000 will be suspended if the club undertakes appropriate governance changes to ensure there
is no repeat of the breaches.

A $660,000 penalty will be applied to the club's salary cap for this season, and next year, meaning the club will be
operating at a cap of $9 million.

Manly chief operating officer Neil Bare and former CEO Joe Kelly, who is now the boss at the Sydney Roosters, have
been suspended until January 1, 2019.

The breaches involve 13 players over five years, totalling $1.5 million.
No competition points have been deducted.

Sea Eagles coach Trent Barrett was given an official warning.
