Certainly not.
A great thing to see is the positivity of the media etc.
Thinking back over almost the last 20 years when they had a pretty amazing 'golden generation' and 'World Class' managers brought in and paraded around on their 5 million a year salaries. It's great to see someone like Southgate come in, and bring a decent, but hardly world class bunch of players together and have the full support and positivity of the media and everyone else behind them.
I pointed this out on another post earlier in the week, which you conveniently ignored, but Belgium were lucky to get past the mighty Japan; France were awful in the group and only just scraped past "elite" teams such as Australia and Peru, before managing a draw against Denmark, while Croatia needed penalties to beat Russia and Switzerland in games where they were largely crap.
Does it only work one way in your world?

I've a whole bunch of Lulutard retards and nutters vying for my attention, and didn't know that I meant so much to you. Sorry if I miss Lil' Ol' Hal every now and again.

Yeah, as has been mentioned, England have gotten lucky that almost every 'big' team has stumbled and a lot of weaker opposition has gotten through or caused problems.
No matter which team wins, the final four is a triumph of the Big Five — Europe's top professional leagues. Eighty-one of 92 players in semi-final squads are with clubs in England (40), Spain (12), France (12), Germany (nine) and Italy (eight).
All of England's players are home based, with 22 in the Premier League and one in the second-tier League Championship. They face many of the world's best each week.
"The reason that foreign players play in the Premiership is because we pay the most money, so that is very straightforward," Southgate said.

Fuck me the poms made it through, who will i back now ?
For decades (probably ever since Sir Alf Ramsey), the England manager's job was seen as "poisoned chalice" due to the media over-attention, prying, and hysterical criticism. It's good that Southgate seems to have the press on his side, with his low-key style and focus on a young team playing flowing footie. I think everyone in the England team has seen their stock soar during this WC so far.
Yeah, think it was Scolari in line for the job around 10 years ago.
It was leaked the day before he was due to fly in to meet the FA and that night his house in Spain or Portugal was surrounded by the English Paparazzi and press. Which he quickly decided he didn't really need and turned it down before arriving.
If we win, the gloriously fcuking we already got from Macron and Frau over Brexit will feel like a picnic.
Don't forget Glenda and his faith healer Eileen Drewery.
^Lol. Glenda was a larf, wasn't he? His belief in reincarnation and karma especially, bit like having a Thai in charge.
I must admit I did make some unkind remarks about English soccer fans. I think it was something about wearing an english soccer shirt and advertising their humiliation. Then the mighty socceroos that were a shoe in to win if it hadn't been for the shite umpires or whatever you call them........... What was that?...... The shirt I'm wearing? I dont know, I picked it up at the op shop. I only bought it coz the 3 lions looked cool.... no it's not!... It is? Well I'll be damned! I better take it off. Hold on my washings at the laundry and wont be ready for another couple of weeks. Dam!
but her back is hairy ?
