Great read here: https://www.nzherald.co.nz/indepth/s...e-cup-rivalry/
Can't cut 'n paste it because of the format, but basically an overview of how the Bledisloe rivalry has deteriorated.

Wallabies have lost reserve prop Taniela 'Tongan Thor' Tupou, injured hamstring, replaced with Rebels player Jermaine Ainsley, who'll get his first test cap if he gets on the field
Interesting background, Ainsley NZ born, Otago Boys’ High School 1st XV , went to Perth made it to U20s then Western Force, Rebels and now Australia
His father is former Otago and All Black prop Joe McDonnell who's now coaching in Italy
Opportunities in rugby...
Wallabies looked pretty good for the first 35 minutes, but then the All Blacks came roaring back. Next week it's Bledisoe II at Eden Park.
The proverbial game of two halves that one.
Just watched highlights again
Retallick's try, over and over ...
Wallabies captain Hooper immediately after the game:
“We’ve got a plan, we’ve spoken about that plan already. We’ll build on that during the week.”
Wallabies haven't won at Auckland's Eden Park since 1986. Coach Cheika is hoping to pull one off (victory, I guess) next week
Note: my spellcheck changes Cheika for Sheila each time

Well done All Blacks ... deserved victors.
Actually, the defeats don't hurt anymore because none of the Aussies give themselves a chance of winning.
Oh, except Buckley ... he's an optimist

The Man of the Match is one hansom man!
Brodie Retallick
what can one say, from a welshmans point of veiw of the match, once again the all blacks go through the motions and let the oppsition run out of steam.
after 38mins.the wallys run them ragged, then its business as normall, with only 2minutes to go in 6-0 up its time for the ABS to light the after burners,27minutes later its all over the abs score 4tries and no replies from the wallys.a good or should I say a better display from the aussies will help them lift their spirits for next weeks return match.
I have been saying for awhile its time for a change in the management.some ex.player from the uk.with some BOTTLE to sort out a few bully boys as England have done.
TAFF.
On to Bledisloe II in Auckland and the Wallabies have two opponents: the All Blacks and history.
The Wallabies' last victory against the All Blacks at Eden Park was in 1986.
Incidentally, Pocock yet again showed why he's one of the classiest players in the entire game for the way he reacted to Crotty's injury.
Can't say enough good things about the bloke. A champion player and human-being.
well history has been made by beauden barrett, but this was a game of the highest order by both teams, but up till the final whistle there was 2 highlights, the first being the hacker and the performance by the all blacks.
but then i thought WHO must be the proudest father in the whole world, not only having a son playing for the greatest rugby side on this earth BUT 3,
BEAUDEN,SCOTT AND JODIE.so i think its only fair to say KEVIN BARRETT how did you produce a barrett of 3 outstanding players, this surely MUST GO DOWN IN HISTORY.
MR.BARRETT I SALUTE YOU.
headhunter a taffy rugby fan.
David Pocock decides strangulation is the only option as Beauden Barrett scores one of his four tries
Winners 40-12
There were 4. Oldest, Kane, career ended with concussion in 2014, captain NZ Secondary Schools, played for Taranaki (with Beauden), for Blues in Super rugby and got his final concussion in training with them
From an interview 2017
Even now, after all this time, the after-effects of the incident which had such profound repercussions continue to linger. 'I know it's not the way it was,' said Kane. 'The medical advice given to me is you have to be 100 per cent fit to be able to go back to play. I am not and it's three years on now.
'I have mild headaches at certain times. It was a series of concussions. A lot of guys are finding themselves in the same situation. It's always on your mind but I was fortunate I had other interests in my life so I used that to get me through'
The Bledisloe Cup was once one of the feature series of the Rugby Union International Calendar.
Most fans around the World tuned in to watch what was formerly a tightly contested classic.
Rugby Union has always been the number 4 sport in Australia and obviously these consistent thrashings are not helping drawing new players to the sport.
Unfortunately I cannot see any positive change in the near future. I am also sure most young Australian lads have no idea what the Bledisloe Cup is.
The majority of Australia's sports fan response to a Rugby union match. It's been on life support in Australia for years. It's just waiting for someone to turn it off.
Nice one. This was at the hotel the Assies stayed at on Waiheke Island.
Getting fed up of the All Blacks, win too mut.
