Well, until he's substituted as a substitute again.

JM writing love letters to Fellaini again recently too.

Yes, expect more buccaneering football next season...it's 'the United way'.

    Confirmed.

Manchester United sign Nemanja Matic from Chelsea | Football News | Sky Sports

3 yr deal sounds rather short for a 40m odd pound signing, even if he will be 31.

Well it looks like it's happening.

450 m quid all told include transfer, wages, etc.

Let's see how PSG get past FFP regulations with this one.

Sorry, I meant to say let's see how totally fucking ineffectual UEFA are when it comes to dealing with people spending stolen money.

Barcelona have given Neymar permission to miss training today as the Brazilian international closes in on a record-breaking move to PSG.

Speculation surrounding the 25-year-old’s future has been raging throughout the summer but it appears as though a resolution to the transfer saga could be close.

According to various Spanish media outlets, Neymar has already informed his teammates at Barcelona that he will be moving to PSG this summer and the club confirmed on Twitter this morning that he had been permitted to miss training.

So presumably there goes Sanchez's most likely escape route.

How many times does Wenger have to say Sanchez is seeing out his contract?

Or, of course, it opens up his return to Barcelona.

I would think the mickey mousers will be more concerned that Barca have their eye on Coutinho. He is a Barca player all day long.

120m would get him I think.

Coutinho or Dybala perhaps. Dybala's a Spanish speaking Argentine that might like to hook up with Messi. Barca fans were polled and Dybala was their favourite. Cojutinho was fourth behind Griezmann and Mbappe.

Sanchez and Messi weren't particularly friendly by all accounts.

Dybala has the potential to be groomed as Messi's successor, I think.

Of course he won't be up to that standard, but he's an exceptionally talented lad.

Sanchez is a very talented player undeniably, but the way he plays...he has to be the star man of the midfield.

I don't think he's up to that role at Barca, just as Toure wasn't.

Coutinho won't ever get there. He's a very handy player to have around but he doesn't dominate games and scare defenders shitless.

Regardless though...it seems clear barca have made more than one offer for him.

I think he can be very good but very inconsistent. And he seems to be injured a lot.

Different type of player, but I think Mane is the main man in that team.

Anyone who doesn't like football is:

    a) a wrong 'un who was probably made to give up his dinner money each day at school

    b) a Tristan Jeeves-Beauchamp egg-chasing Tory nob

    c) a yank

Choose one or more of the above.

Reckon she's the bulb off Franck Ribery.

Looks like the Neymar money will be spent on Ousmane Dembele and Coutinho at around 90m each.

Mario Lemina: Southampton sign Juventus midfielder in £18.1m deal

Southampton have signed Juventus midfielder Mario Lemina in a club record deal worth up to £18.1m (20m euros) on a five-year deal.

The Gabon international, 23, made 42 appearances for Juve in two seasons, moving on loan from Marseille in 2015 before a £7.5m move last summer.

The Saints will pay an initial £15.4m with the rest depending on his success at the club.

He becomes Mauricio Pellegrino's second signing of the summer.
I'm sure Les Reed is hoping to make a few quid off selling him on to one of the top 5 next season.

    Just like..

Virgil van Dijk: Southampton defender hands in transfer request

Southampton captain Virgil van Dijk has handed in a transfer request and says he is "insulted" at suggestions he refused to train.

The Netherlands centre-back, 26, is wanted by a number of clubs and had said he wanted to move to Liverpool.

In July, Saints manager Mauricio Pellegrino said that he ordered the Dutchman to train alone.

"I would like Southampton to consider the interest in me from top clubs should it still exist," Van Dijk said.

"I have been left frustrated by the club's position that I am not for sale and am disappointed that enquiries from multiple top clubs have been consistently rebuffed.

"I am incredibly ambitious and want to achieve as much as I possibly can to fulfil my potential in what is a very short career as a professional footballer.
yada yada yada ... sure Virgil... insulted that you got a leg in to the EPL and you're now worth a hell of a lot more money... shut the fuck up and move on.

    Analysis

Former Arsenal and England striker Ian Wright on BBC Radio 5 live

Southampton sell players - that's what they do. He signed a contract and now he is worth £50m.
indeed... want a stepping stone into the EPL..? Southampton are here to help
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "Wow! What a Ride!"

I have asked around about that meager attendance
Reason being that it was a midweek end of season game, with another home match a few days later and Chelsea had just played a match at Wembley and had another match at Wembley coming up .Two extra Wembley games and supporters saved their money for tickets for those games

Got myself a job on the local working mans club at 13 years old , Harry , stocking up the bar and bought myself a season ticket for Chelsea the following year .
I was the one of the few kids in the south west London school supporting Chelsea , all the other tossers were Liverpool , Arsenal and Man U
Only boy in blue in my class, and a few others in my year
I used to go and watch Chelsea train, during the school holidays
    Chelsea rule London these days
Get back to your spud rivals and argue about who is the best team in North London
