Smile The Mega 2017 Super Duper Super Rugby Thread

    This week’s card looks interesting.

Super Rugby round 10 has eight matches starting on Friday and running through the whole weekend as the last match is on Sunday.
Friday has one match, Saturday has six and Sunday has one match.

Super Rugby Predictions 2017: Round 10

    Highlanders v Stormers
The Capetonians continue their gruelling tour of New Zealand, and I fear they’ll be on the wrong end of the result here too. Highlanders by 16

    Chiefs v Sunwolves
The Highlanders took their foot off the gas last weekend, and the Sunwolves ‘only’ lost by 25 points. The Chiefs will be more ruthless. Chiefs by 53.

    Reds v Waratahs
A tricky Aussie derby. The Reds are fresh from a bye, whilst the Waratahs were embarrassed at home to the Kings. Reds by 6.

    Force v Lions
A small part of me wants to pick the Force, but a Lions pick is safer here – but not by many. Lions by 4.

    Cheetahs v Crusaders
The unbeaten Crusaders arrive in South Africa, and after thrashing the Stormers, you have to fancy them against the Cheetahs first up. Crusaders by 16.

    Kings v Rebels
How will the Kings back up their win over the Waratahs last week? They sit above the Rebels on the log, but for some reason, I’m leaning towards the Aussies. Rebels by 4.

    Jaguares v Sharks
Los Jaguares return to Buenos Aires this week, where they are a different team. They lost all three matches in South Africa, but will fancy a first win over the Sharks this weekend. Jaguares by 6

    Brumbies v Blues
On paper this looks like a good opportunity for an Aussie side to secure a win over a Kiwi side. But given the turmoil in Australia, and the New Zealanders playing for Lions Tour selection, I think the Blues will win. Blues by 4.

Roll on the Lions tour and i'm going to be supporting the All Blacks due to Gatlands disgraceful squad selection as in picking 12 Welsh players including 4 back rowers, where as Scotland who finished above Wales in the 6N (Wales only finishing above Italy) plus beat Wales with our back row players totally outplaying the Welsh backrow and Scotland only get 2 players in the squad and no forwards.

Woohoo! Canterbury takes the Mitre 10 NPC Cup (35-13) for the 8th time since 2008. Well played by the Tasman side, but Canterbury was just to good on the night. MotM definitely first-five Richie Mo'unga with twenty-three points for the night.
