More carnage this week.
Wentz may have a torn ACL and be out for the year.
Would have liked to see the Eagles go all they way as it's been a long time and Seattle has no chance.

Yeah that is a bummer for the Eagles. Really would have been exciting to see them come into the playoffs at full health. Before the injury, I felt like the Eagles, Rams, and Vikings were all very interesting teams. All killing it in the regular season, but what happens come playoff time when experience tends to matter much more?
The Eagles are still a talented team, and we'll see what Foles can do with homefield and possible a bye. But realistically we are likely down to two of the three "regular season wonders" at this point. Chances are at least one of the three would have made a run of it in some way/shape/form.
I think I like Minnesota the best at this point in terms of chances to go deep. The Rams are still healthy but their D just remains too suspect (which is strange considering it was good for so long). Their young offense, QB, and coach are likely just too inexperienced to get it done come playoff time.
We shall see....
^
Despite the loss yesterday, I still feel confident that Minnesota will go deep in the playoffs.
They played their worst game of the season, and still had a chance to win it at the end.
F--king Cold.
That was a blizzard. Football in December is a special thing. Check this out;
Are there any Seahawks fans on this board?
that game must have been tough to watch....and with the rams ascendant, it might be time to clean house.
and btw, IMO if brady has even an average game against buffalo next week, he's the MVP.
49 fan here. Bright new day is happening, Jimmy Garoppolo is for real. 3 wins in a row, 3 huge games and a team that now wants to win. Thanks for the new regime in charge. Niners..
49ers should be hopeful but they haven’t beaten anyone.
Seahawks reach new depths of asshole status with each passing week.
Arians is now nearly officially gone.
Rams are the toast of the lg.
Oh, and oak is a disaster again.
Tenn has looked like shit since oct and hasn’t beaten a good team since sept. You think they looked like a good team? 555
its not a troll. It’s the truth.
The fact that he has won his first three games against ANY teams is clearly a good sign. The team had won, what, one game before that? Then he comes in and wins three in a row and triples their season win total in three weeks? Sam is clearly taking the piss if he doesn't think that gives 49er fans hope for the future
Actually makes me sick that the Cards didn't make a run at Jimmy G. A second rounder is peanuts compared to his potential, and that's not just hindsight since he's still really just potential until at least next season. The ghost of Kevin Kolb led the team astray big time on that one methinks
That's probably true.
The playoffs are the only yardstick for success according to you. Or was it winning a superbowl that was the only yardstick for success?
We should probably wait and see what happens.
You called that one really early....
umm, i actually used the very word "hopeful". its a QB lg and the 49ers have beaten no QBs (or even good Ds). mariota is probably the worst starting QB right now...and thats truly saying something.
jimmy looks decent. but he has absolutely zero pressure on him and the 49ers are playing for nothing. things often change when the stakes are raised.
thats fairly weak trolling. did i say the rams would be a sb team? nope. i said they would be ahead of ari by this season. they are without a doubt in the world now ahead in almost every facet of the gm. the cards are a trainwreck and wont be competitive for 2-3 yrs, while the rams are a top 5-6 team in the lg.
but, yes, the playoffs are what matter. if you go 12-4 and lose in the div rd then youre a pretender.
as for oak, think i posted about week 8 that they were a mess.
You just said they were the "toast of the league". Funny how they can be the toast of the league and not successful according to your standards.
Then again you called the Raiders a success earlier in the season so I'm not gonna try and hold you to any real sense of consistency on this one.
All that said, of course the Rams have had a successful season. Who would argue otherwise at this point? I mean besides you of course...or was that just the troll shit when it didn't suit you? Because I'm pretty sure you well know going from 4 wins to 10+ is success by any possible standard
Keep going. Back, back, back....you're on the warning track. Keep going.
youre really grasping at nonsense, red.
but seeing as to how youve been wrong about virtually everything this season...
Ya it was. Said the raiders season might be over week 5.
You’re not saying anything red. Say something substantive that’s worth a response.
They were successful last season. Unlucky at the end. This season hasn’t come together for coaching reasons and injs. They are still set up for success for years to come. Need a real dc to install an at least avg d system to take advantage of their talent on that side. Not totally clear what the issues are on O.
Who’s better set up for the next five yrs: oak or ari?
First, Raiders don't have anything close to a David Johnson. And our D is better with lots of up and comers.
IF Arizona drafts a legitimate franchise QB, then AZ by a country mile. Otherwise Raiders.
I could say the same thing about AZ. Both teams have the same record. And shitty coaching. AZ has way more injuries to key players though.
Yeah the Cards started a third stringer washout QB during one of their "unsuccessful" playoff seasons under Arians. And still almost beat Carolina in spite of it. No sympathy at all
Ari has no lines and no qb and no coach and no system as a result. Come on lol
Dj is wasted with line and qb and system. Same as gurley last year. Look at him now. Legit mvp candidate.
