Hey, it looks like the pl might even be serious about this, rather than pathetically wimping out like UEFA did.

So the Premier League have finally raised their heads above the parapet and decided to charge Man City with various "discrepancies" relating to financial management. So immediately the "told you so, hang them high" brigade are out in full force as we would expect.
Of course the reality will be somewhere between what City say and what the Premier League think, as it was with UEFA, and there are two things I can say with no doubt at all. Firstly, City will have expected this to happen eventually, and secondly they will be far happier defending their case to an Independent Commission than to either the Premier League or UEFA. It is also worth noting that the period concerned is now several years ago, which may affect the case.
I have no idea how this will end up, but we can be sure that City have a defence lined up, and that this is definitely, absolutely the last chance for the "establishment" to try and punish City.
As a City fan of over 40 years I can categorically say that we have been in far worse situations than this, so bring it on.
