Might actually still have it in a box somewhere up stairs, will have to fix the neck and give it to the kid.

It’s the Ole story that’s going to end in tears though, isn’t it.

    Everyone knows it, really.

It was meant to end in tears 3 years ago. And 2 years ago. And a year ago.

    Stopped clocks come to mind.

The treatment he's had from the press has been ridiculous.

And FWIW, I'd take someone like Conte any day of the week if he came available, but it's OLEgend innit? Me 'ero and all that.

If he doesn't deliver success this season then he'll be out on his ear fair enough.

Come what may, I'll still love you, OLEgend.

The signings or first team development of Bruno, Greenwood, Rashford, Cavani, Ronaldo, Varane, Maguire.

Took a team that finished 6th, up to two 2nd place and one 3rd place finishes. A European final.

Longest run of away games without defeat in top flight (not just the PL) history. Will go top tonight with a 3 nil win.

From where they were when he took over, to where they are now is miles apart. I mean, what else could be realistically expected when taking over a 6th place club in turmoil.

Some fans don't understand enough about the game to know what a good manager is...

Should be a good craic tonight, plenty of the youngsters getting experience defending the league cup.

    Some interesting history with Wycombe....

    'Hate'?

You keep peddling this away wins record, not mentioning how the home advantage was all but wiped out by COVID and that it happened during a run of dire home form.

It means they still can't fill the stadium even though they have labelled it a refugee centre on the interweb

Wycombe had city on the ropes for 3 1/2 minutes at the refugee centre. The 56 fans were worried.

Riyad Mahrez scored twice as holders Manchester City came from behind to thrash League One Wycombe and reach the last 16 of the Carabao Cup.

The visitors took a shock lead through Brandon Hanlan, but Kevin de Bruyne levelled seven minutes later.

Mahrez claimed his double either side of half-time, with Phil Foden and Ferran Torres also beating veteran goalkeeper David Stockdale.

Substitute Cole Palmer, 19, added the sixth with his first goal for the club.

He ran from the halfway line before curling in a fine left-footed shot from 20 yards.

It was a successful night all round for City's youngsters, with Pep Guardiola handing senior debuts to academy graduates Conrad Egan-Riley, Luke Mbete, Finley Burns, Josh Wilson-Esbrand and Romeo Lavia.

Defender Wilson-Esbrand was particularly impressive, with his excellent control and cut-back assisting Mahrez for City's second strike.

Victory means Guardiola's side are unbeaten in the competition since October 2016 and have reached the last 16 for the fifth successive season.

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola: "I am just going to say thank you very much to all the Academy. They have many good players, not just one or two. We can count on them absolutely. With their skills and desire, they have got it at this club. I am so proud to be manager of this club."

Wycombe manager Gareth Ainsworth: "The first 22 minutes were special! What a moment for the fans who travelled all this way. A few months ago they were locked in their homes and couldn't see us in the Championship. Those scenes when the goal went in were incredible."

    Pics incoming...
    Shalom

Another fantastic night last night at the Etihad.

The best chants of the night were...

You've seen the Champions now fook off home!

Phil Foden he's one of our own

    Oh Kevin De Bruyne

    We've got Guardiola

Wycombe drew first blood to their ecstatic fans delight only to be knocked for 6 by City's youth.

Some tip top talent emerging from the youth academy, special mention to local lad Cole Palmer who scored his first goal and sent the South stand wild.

A few pics of the latest statues outside...

    Congrats

Nice to see that you don't have to import all of your success.

    Well meant
