Zack Steffen made a big mistake yesterday. It cost City a goal and rocked us back on our heels.
As City fans, we’re all pretty peed at such a howler, but you can bet your bottom dollar, nobody will be more peed off than Zack Steffen.
It’s the time of year when crucifixion is at the forefront of proceedings, but nobody should be metaphorically ‘crucifying’ Steffen.
He screwed up. We know it and he knows it, but City win, draw and lose as a collective. We are a team right down from Pep, his staff, the players and the fans.
Yes we all wanted to beat the Dippers and after an appalling first half, we nearly drew level from 3-0 down.
It’s becoming an annual disappointment - that’s four FA Cup semi final defeats in Pep’s six years - but there’s a bigger picture after the midweek war zone in the Wanda Metropolitano.
City cannot risk anything less than seven Premier League wins. Do this and we’re back-to-back Champions of England for the second time of Pep’s phenomenal tenure at the Etihad.
It is also well within our capabilities to beat Real Madrid and qualify for our second consecutive Champions League Final.
If we do reach Paris there’s a pretty good chance we could, once again, face off with the Dippers.
Today we were without Ederson, Walker, Laporte/Dias, Rodri, Gundogan and KDB.
Liverpool, with what appeared to be a fully fit squad, squeezed past an under strength and fatigued City.
We didn’t deserve to win BUT, had we been more clinical in front of goal, we could have edged it.
Disappointment and frustration are the obvious emotions for City fans this evening, but my main take out from today’s 3-2 defeat is that our best team will beat Liverpool’s best team, for the remainder of this campaign.
It could yet see City finish as Champions of both England and Europe.

Notice how close the Bin Dippers were with no security between us.
Wembley puts profits before safety.
£7 a pint!
Another good night at the etihad, but fook that first half!
Gonna be tight for the title, very close to call.

:bananaman:
Jesus is definitely not gonna break any goal scoring records today!!
^
:)
You have Jesus
Liverpool has Muhammed
Man U has to settle for Buddha Macquire.
Hardly fair play
:smileylaughing:
City currently have two fewer than Liverpool in goal difference. Every one they can get today extra is a Brucie bonus.
Should have put this match to bed by now!
C'mon City:bananaman:
The best match I've witnessed in a long while.
Two great managers.
End to end action
Could have been a lot more than 4-3.
Quality goals.
What a night!!!:bananaman:
I reckon the Arabs will be fighting over Benzema in the summer. And how big a piss take was that penalty?
Dirty Leeds deserve to get relegated after their fans display of paper plane and missile throwing at the Champions.
Even Dallas came a cropper trying to foul Jackie "Calves" Grealish.

Nah - it's just that everyone wants you to lose because you've bought success with dirty money.
:smileylaughing:
Reaching much?

Chitty, should i triple capt Debrowner or is it too much to expect him to play twice in a week.
