Every two years we get a Ryder Cup thread and it turns immediately into a yank bash fest. And the refrain from the brits right out of box is that the yanks don't play by the rules, the yanks are loud, the yanks are thin skinned. As proven by the nastiness and ungentlemanly discourse eminating from the keyboards of the brits here, it is quite obvious that it is the brits who set the tone for nastiness and poor manners not the yanks. Fuk another Ryder Cup thread.

Don't be silly. We just remind you of your appalling behaviour at Brookline, and the complete lack of respect for the game and your opponents.

I expect it brings back pangs of shame.

    Don't sweat it.

No it does not. If you want the thread to veer off into negativity that's fine, own it. But you would be doing the forum a diservice.

Humbert, relax - Brits are tribal and base, so we love slagging each other off! &, the Americans, or Yanks if you prefer, certainly deserve it in this context!

But, rest assured that we enjoy slagging each other and ourselves off even more; 'Arry, for example, is a Gooner which basically means he's a braindead cocksucking Frenchman reamer... He doesn't mind me saying that, he doesn't get offended.

The foreign Pros playing in the States must fucking HATE hearing 50 pelicans screaming GET IN THE HOOOOOLE every time they hit a ball. More so as they hit a 285 yard 3 iron off the tee on a 580 yard Par 5 . No doubt they'd love to go to said pelicans places of employment and scream things like PICK UP THE PHOOOONE or EDIT THAT COOOOODE back at them 60 or 70 times every 4.5 hours as they tried to concentrate on their jobs. The Yanks must wonder what the fuck is wrong with the people at European events (or anywhere else in the world for that matter) where screaming out like some fucking retarded Banshee every time a ball is hit is unheard of, unless Americans are in the gallery obviously.

    Rant over.

    So the US team look like this;
    Johnson D
    Johnson Z
    Koepka B
    Phil
    Reed P
    Snedeker B
    Jordan
    Walker J
+ 4 Captain picks likely to be:
    Bubba
    Fowler R
    Furyk J
    Duffner J

Sorry to say but that team would EAT the Europeans in combined total stroke-play 10 times out of 10. But this is match-play where it's possible for a guy who shoots 85 to win his match against a guy who shot 65.

Personally I'd like to see Europe win, or at least for it to come down to the last day's results to find the winner. But they've got a mountain to climb to beat America at home.

Absolutely Humbert, I don't get remotely offended by anything Boo says, and he'll chuckle at any jibe I aim at him, because he's an inbred, special needs farmhand who likes shagging goats.

20 minutes to the first tee shot.

Let's hope the American players and fans remember the spirit of the game.

Great play by the US in the morning.

I'm a little surprised Europe aren't changing it up a bit more in the afternoon.

Need to get some points on the board.

This could be as good as over at the end of day 1. When the European players based in America who play PGA tour courses week in - week out are getting their arses handed to them, guys like Wood, Sullivan, Fitzpatrick, and Pieters must be shitting rather large bricks...

Brilliant comeback to win 3 of the 4.

And not one match made it to the 17th green. That's quite remarkable.

5-3 is an excellent score considering they were 4-0 down at lunch.

^Dead right. And they needed it, had the score got to something like 6-2 or 7-1 it very likely would have been game over.

Do some of these boorish American oafs realise just how stupid they sound?

Hopefully that last one is being escorted from the course with his badge for tomorrow removed for that shameful behaviour.

    Pathetic.
