Referee in any game can now decide not to card a player in the hope he will be banned afterwards for the next few games, one of which is against the original referees country.

Yeah, there really is a flaw in the system. If the referee had carded him during the game (which I concede would have been fair) he would have only missed 10 minutes of game time and been available on Friday. Now he misses 4 matches?
