I once met Al Davis.... character if nothing else... always kinda liked the Raiders, the bad boy image of the 70's and 80's was fun....

Funnily enough two of the items that seem to have gone missing from my house whilst I have been away are my John Matuzak and Ken Stabler biographies..... can't find them anywhere....

more like built from the grave. the worst managed franchise for yrs has become one of the best. across the bay, arguably the most talented franchise has lost everything and become a joke. how quickly things change.

Al Davis dies, and within a few years the team is solid. Valid to wonder if he was the problem.

Quite possibly fair comment.... He was a stubborn, cantankerous git when he was young, can't imagine he got better with age....

So here we are at approximately the halfway point.

Raiders are the most serious threat to the Patriots? Could be true.

Jerry Jones will find a way to eff up his 7-1 team. Still liking Green Bay, despite recent two straight losses, they just seem more complete than anyone else in the NFC. Though if the New Orleans D is actually becoming close to average, maybe the Saints are the NFC's best team. New Orleans may also have a running game to complement Brees.

no one sticks out in the NFC. GB has potential if their injs can heal. SEA and ARI are both meh at best. DAL looks great but is DAL. wentzs flaws have been revealed. ATL maybe? not a believer in that D yet but it has potential.

AFC is NE and then everybody else, with OAK at 2 so far. DEN O and injs on D will only get better, however...

Yes, Al Davis definitely slipped in the latter years.

As we've heard, the Raiders may be moving to Las Vegas.

Once again the Cheathawks/Whinehawks/Bitchhawks use the refs to blatantly cheat their way into what wound up being game changing points. Give Buffalo those 3 points at the end of the half that they clearly earned, and we are going into OT at the least because Buffalo is not going for it on 4th down on the last play, they are kicking for the game tying points. In a game in which Seattle was getting outplayed sans a few very clutch catches by Graham.

Cliff Avril and Richard Sherman are the two biggest whiners ever. I mean, has any team ever whined and complained more than this team, ridiculously talked more shit about NOT getting calls, while at the same time getting handed victories week after week by the officials?

This is an embarrassment to the league.

Yep the ref's and the hawks are colluding to cheat and the world trade center was a controlled demolition. Oh I bet your forgot all about the fact that the refs cost us the win in N'awlins. That's what I thought.

We still would have one either way. Did you happen to notice how that D tightened up? No I am sure you didn't.

The fact is girls that we are only going to get stronger from here on out. Soon Chancellor will be back as well as Thomas Rawls. Russell Wilson is getting better and better and he is running again. Oh I didn't even mention that Micheal Bennett is out for two or so more weeks. Only getting better. Soon we will have a running game again, Wilson will go back to throwing on the run again and the D will be full circle. Hate on suckers but like Chuckie said at the end of the game "This is the team to beat in the NFC!"

    Booyaa!

100% agree. god forbid someone celebrate a TD but prima donnas like sherman can bitch in the refs face all gm to sway the odds for calls in their favor.

to be honest, the entire nfl is in shambles right now so we cant be too surprised.

    You're a Hawk-hater.

    Fair enough.

But you know what da result was: W

Good news for you, RH: Hawks will be in NE next week and super-schami with his crystal ball - that's me - predicts an L.

I won't lie, I am clearly a Hawkhater (not the brand so much as this eminately dislikeable ensamble).

And you're right, it is a W. But when the big story in football 3 out of the past 4 weeks is a game altering call and they are all going to the same exact team in each instance, that is a problem.

Tonight was just blatant and really inexcusable. It just felt like they were going to deny Buffalo those points using whatever means neccassary.

Contrary to what bsnub posted, I don't think its a conspiracy, I just think Seattle continually gets in these refs heads and basically bullies them into blowing these calls. It is clearly on the refs, even the league itself acknowledged it tonight. Its something they need to address, it shouldn't keep happening week after week

    OK, ^

As for the Seattle rushing game, I just went over some stats and for the entire game the Seahawks had

8 carries for 10 yards (minus RW):

Prosise, 3 carries for 9 yards; Michael, 5 carries for 1 yard.

These were how the plays were called so I assume there is not much faith in the runners or O-line.

Buffalo had the ball on offense for 40 minutes, compared to Seattle 19.43 minutes.

Well Duh. Your team is down in the dumper and most likely will be knocked the fcuk out in coming weeks. You have to go play the Viks and the Falcons on the road. Your team is reeling at this point. Clearly on the ropes. The lowly cards will get knocked the fuck out the next two weeks.

That sir is competition. Taking every chance to push for victory. Did you ever play football?

Who is the most dirty player in the history of the NFL? The guy who stepped on Russell Wilson's ankle in week one.

    Richie Incognito

That cocksucker held the entire game and these holds did not get called. If you want to talk about a game changer that is it. Way more than the crap field goal. Blind clowns.

I think what it boils down to is sub-par (bad) officiating.

It's not only in Seahawk games but with other teams in other games in the league as well.

IMO, the delay of game before the end of the half was an error (bad call).

I noticed... They tightened up, alright.

Watch the thug at the bottom of the screen lay out Powell on that last drive.
How does an official miss that?

Yes, bad calls abound, but Sherman seems to play under different rules. Little Richie got away with a blatant PI against Falcons earlier in the year, the roughing the kicker Buffalo yesterday, and also this absurdly obvious PI at the end of the Buffalo game right in front of an apparently blind zebra.

PS. Same video as posted by Beachy above.
