I don't know who's thicker, you, or UM. When your O line allows your quarterback to be hit 19 times in one game, you don't blame the quarterback. I'mOriginally Posted by samsara

yes, the oline was not exactly great. but bradford did nothing to help himself. stupid throws, fumbles...those are on him.
other QBs manage just fine under pressure. bradford apparently does not.
anyway, the strategy to beat bradford is now out there. philly knows what looks he cant handle and delivered them.

You either did not watch the game, or are talking out of your ass as usual. ( i'm guessing it was both ) Not going to goad me into a debate. Your credibility with evaluating talent, went out the window with Colin Crapernick.
no, i watched it. i saw bradford miss pass after pass, then hold the ball too long, become shellshocked and basically crawl into a shell until the gm was over and then he got a cheap prevent TD to juice his stats a bit.
bradford is an avg QB, man. 2 teams dont let a franchise QB go for no reason...
btw, kaep has done more in his career than bradford could ever dream of.
one day he will play on a real team with real coaching and players around him...and then all will eat crow. until then, he suffers.
To be fair, a 98 year kick off return for a TD (Eagles) was more significant than anything the Eagles QB did.
A questionable play call in the 3rd quarter, to go for it on 4th and 1, on the Philly 15 yard line. Take the 3 points there, cut the lead to 12. Momentum is sometimes a BS word, but in this case that play very much killed the Vikes. Philly took the ball, got a field goal, the lead was 18, the game essentially decided. Being behind by 3 scores in the second half in the NFL = 98% odds you are finished.
Bradford sure did not help getting sacked six times. Some of this is on his shoulders.
I agree. Vikings D did their part, holding the Eagles offense to 11 points. And yes, Bradford did not do himself any favors, missing some throws. But again, his O line gave him no time, and allowed 19 QB hits. His receivers didn't help matters, either. Three drop balls all season long before yesterday. They dropped 4 yesterday, alone.
Zim is pissed. Practice won't be fun this week.
Oh yeah, all that was obvious in real time lol
Still frames tell you nothing, the ball was within an inch of a TD one way or another. The play should have gotten a review
bsnub: no worries man. I was obviously upset about the outcome in the heat of things as well.
Cheers dude
Interesting that on NFL.com with 31 post game videos available that the Johnson play is not there. It is not even shown in the full game highlights......
So, I cannot comment on whether I think he scored or not.
I did however have the great pleasure of seeing the Rams and Jeff Fisher lose.
He didn't.Originally Posted by Bobcock

If his foot is in the air coming down on the pylon in that photo then he certainly did score. Again, a still frame is nothing in this instance. There was never a conclusive angle shown on replay. I want to believe he scored, but being honest I just can't say conclusively. Being assured of something you can't be assured of without the data is just biased thinking. And I guarantee you none of us know for sure whether he did or didn't score and that is just the truth of the matter.
The play deserved a replay period.
I watched the game live.
The play was replayed a few times on TV.
It was NOT a touchdown. Close, no doubt.
If you have access to the tape, you can watch it again and again.
Not a TD, and I'm saying this objectively.
Also, there has been NO mentioning of this in the entire NFL media. There is a reason.
80,000 NFL fans.... quite a few Americans, but UK fans are very knowledgeable about the game, you must remember we get 5 live games a week, NFL Redzone on Sundays (if you know what that is) countless highlights programs and shit loads of NFL Films such as hard knocks, undrafted etc. there were a fair few Giants fans came over for the game I think and also the whole of the New Zealand Rugby League team were there.
The best part for me was at the end when they had that totally blown audible. It was a Rams home game and yet despite the scoreboard screaming QUIET PLEASE - OFFENCE AT WORK, the partisan NY crowd were going nuts as Keenan was trying to audible. Probably in St Louis (555) they were going "hell, these Limeys don't understand the game here" but the truth is we do and we knew what we were doing, first time he had to use a time out and when reset threw a pick on the worst busted play I've seen signed I last caught a Blaine Gebbert game......
This weekend I'm going to see the Redskins and Bengals
In other instances, a still frame can say something. A player is not allowed to use leverage by jumping or standing on a teammate or opponent to block a kick, as well as place a hand or hands on a teammate or opponent to gain additional height in the block or attempt to block a kick.
Two hands, one on a teammate and one on an opponent. That's using leverage for balance. That's a penalty.
There is also supposed to be a flag for running forward and leaping in an obvious attempt to block a field goal, unless the leaping player was originally lined up within one yard of the line of scrimmage when the ball was snapped. Wagner wasn't even close to being within a yard of the line
That happened on both kicks. Three penalties on the same dude. All in the NFL rulebook. None of them called.
Of course our choker kicker could have just made the field goal
No mulligans in football. On to next week

Video or GTFOThis is not what happened.
Must be quite nice to see games live games on another continent. Pretty cool stuff!Originally Posted by Bobcock
Not long before Europe has own its own team. Maybe the Jags will just move over, I don't think they really have many fans here.
If you take that from the tape then you are as lost as a Drumpf supporter. His cleat just skimmed the centers jersey. Incidental contact.Originally Posted by redhaze

You're talking about the blocked one. You're correct about the cleat touching the jersey not being a penalty. His penalty on that play was running from too far back, so he did still commit a penalty on that play.Originally Posted by bsnub
The pick above is from the second kick. He ran from too far back and used leverage to boost himself over. That was the kick the punter doinked off the upright. Two kicks, three penalties. All in the rulebook.
If by straws you mean wishing we didn't clearly get shafted, then yeah.Originally Posted by bsnub
And hey, its one day later. So does "still holding on" really apply? We're talking about a game that ended 24 hours ago here
I cannot find the vid. Only the field goals. Googled and youtubed.
