Is the real Peyton Manning coming to light?

Always gotta be wary of such stories but I've heard it said before that the Mannings, particularly Archie (and his management of the boys) are not the All American nice guys they would like you to believe.

Interesting to see that none of his former team mates have supported his versions of events......

I've been half-pie following this. Certainly seems that there is enough smoke to indicate a fire.

It may have just been some frat boy bullying to start with but the subsequent attempts to smear Naughright's name and reputation are a lot more calculated and vicious.

I will wait until I hear more from a source other than the NY daily news.

The whole court documents are here and more information, essentially she won the suit and the judge was scathing about the lies the Mannings told.....

Not one other team mate testified in favour of the lies he came up with about her language and promiscuity....

... and somewhat racist to say it was black athletes as well, I guess in the Manning household the black aspect makes it an even bigger crime?

^ It is pretty damning to look at. If he falls from grace it would be the highest profile athlete to do so ever. At least in the US.

Peyton Manning is Lance Armstrong and I claim my prize....

I'd say that Tyson was a bigger name and he fell rather hard....

In a way it wouldn't actually be that surprising if it's all true. All the adulation and leeway given to athletes, it would be hard for even the most balanced person to remain grounded.

The perfomance of the same act on two other athletes as a way of intimidation stinks of sinister rather than a dumb jock error.....

I'm not a huge Manning fan as a player, not my kind of QB, bit of a flat track bully, bit like Farve, the Graeme Hick of the NFL world. His playoff record sucks againsts the sort of QB I admire, Montana, Brady even heaven forbid Russell Wilson.

OJ Simpson fell from hundreds of floors higher than any others I can think of, offhand...

I would agree with this in entirety.

Aaron Hernandez had quite a fall two though not as big a name as the others.... can't seem to keep himself out of trouble in the Pen either.... reckon he'll get shanked before long....

OJ was a national icon. He transcended race and was very articulate.

He has a dark side, that's for sure.

An interesting documentary by BBC by a veteran investigator based on facts puts OJ at the crime - but also his son Jason Simpson, who had/had a violent record, is on different medications for depression, he was suicidal, and he owned the brand of knife used in the killings.

That night, Jason prepared a dinner as head chef at a restaurant near Brentwood (called Jackson's. Nicole Simpson and 10 others were supposed to eat at Jackson's that night and Jason prepared the meal.

Nicole and the others did not show up and did not call.

IMO, OJ and Jason were involved.

I have a picture of me shaking hands with OJ somewhere...Met him at Dallas/Ft Worth airport...I believe he was playing for the Buffalo Bills, then...Surrounded by bodyguards, and they were pissed at me (an American term), but he was very congenial...To think I shook the hand that slashed those two many years later...

    ^ Cheers, Baitong.

Please watch this short video based on facts. Jason simpson suffered from a rage disorder, was on probation, and owned the brand of knife in the murders that is illegal to own in CA.

After the murders OJ hired a lawyer for Jason.

    The cops never interviewed him.

The guy in this is an experienced investigator, not a conspiracy nut.

I know, apologies for being off-topic.

I bumped the "famous trials" thread in SC on the OJ Case.
