Young Darcy at age 23 was one of the most exciting and talented riders to get on a speedway bike in many years .

IMHO Darcy and the Russian Emil Zaifotonof would have dominated the sport at the very top between themselves over the next 10 years .

However it is with much sadness to report this young mans racing career barring a miracle has been brought to and end due to a horrific accident in Poland , resulting in serious spinal damage .

He had a 2 hour op in Poland to try to stabilise his spine and now has been moved back to the UK in a specialist unit .

The latest report shows NO feeling below the waist .

Such a young talent , so bloody cruel .

Just watched the Gorzov Speedway GP tonight

Was one hell of a meeting , fantastic racing , some of the best GP racing this year , Niki Pederson riding as hard as ever nearly got knocked out

The whole meeting was 100% for Darcy ,, the crowd chanting his name at every opportunity , lots of big signs painted up to support him , as he was watching it live from his hospital bed ,, must have given him a lift tonight.

That is a waste of a great talent, I did see the original off and have seen a lot worse looking prangs. For a young bloke who had not yet reached his full potential it is a tragedy.

Used to be on TV here in Thailand but has disappeared.

Sad when accidents happen but that is the nature of the sport.

Hampel has his moments, Woffinden would be Ok if he didn't have those silly earnings.

Woffinden does a hell of a lot for kids charities mate .

He don't do a lot of shouting about it ,, and `I very much doubt the money he raises for kids on his massive bike rides the length of the Country worry about his earrings .

He F/d + Blinded live on TV last night at the meeting during an interview , the commentator made a remark to him about not doing that on a live mike ,, his answer was " I don't care , I fukkin love Darcy ! "

He was very emotional .

Darcy tweeted from his hospital bed " Wow ! what a wonderful crowd the speedway family is " ,, when he heard them chanting his name at every opportunity
