Very unimpressed here. The Aussies will set us 250 at this rate, and I can't see us getting anything over 200. A last innings total of 150-170 would have been manageable.
I want a 300 chase, knock it off with Roy smashing a ton - demoralise the Oz.
^^ Those pitch foot marks are looking ominous.
Lyon would be licking his lips.
... and all this time I thought it was going to be a 'swingers pitch'
Run rate is clipping along nicely.
Given their record @ the Ground, I thought the Aussies might be tempted to try for the Draw.
England look piss poor. I never signed up for this bollix. Roll on the footy
You cheering on city next season?
Nah, gonna turn my attention away from those overpaid fucking mercenaries and prima Donna's and watch grass roots and Sunday League football
Come on Celtic
Dont have to worry with that poofball for a while yet, got the ashes for next 6 weeks then the rugby world cup.
When's the Grand Prix starting?
Dill are you thinking of tie dying tonight?
Smith.
Again.
All the half decent comedians are at the Fringe this month.
Looks like the pundits have already written England off.
right, we'll give em 350 - easy
Best England can hope for is a draw now and longer Australia bat more chance of that.
Looks like Australia playing for the draw aswell, should have declared an hour ago to give themselves more time to bowl England out. Too big a target for England to chase so tomorrow going to be like watching paint dry with England defending every ball.
Well played Australia, especially after the first morning. If they manage to skittle England out tomorrow it'll be a fine comeback.
Excellent knock from Smith again.
My god Troy every bit of Englishism has been beaten out of you, a bit pathetic really.
Im sure your Grandfathers are proud of you.
Australia 7-487 declared (Smith 142, Wade 110) sets England 398 to win
Well, I can say with some confidence that England will not win this Test match. Can Australia though?
That will be the question lingering over tomorrow.
For now, all eyes are on Australia's bowlers and their pursuit of a quick scalp or two in the dark tonight.
I'd have probably declared a bit earlier, but it won't really matter if the bowlers strike in the seven overs remaining.
It's been a perfect day for Australia, a pole or too would be the cherry on top.
