That's a dead issue.....maybe they shouldn't but it was taken too far by both sides and had become tedious even for people who felt KP should play.

    Next?

Not much to offer....always remember your sporting team winning reflects little about you.....you will always be Australians with complexes about being a dumping ground for the dregs of 18th Century Britain......

And with that I bid you goodnight.... I'm off to Kyoto to take some serious pics.......

They were Cooked from the start of that innings, it was a Lythe or death situation but they were Rooted and just needed more runs on the Broad.

Although I did not expect such an extreme thrashing.

I also posted that I would let the Aussie side speak for me.

Great performance allround and I like the look of Nevill the wicket keeper and Marsh fitted in like a glove.

    1...........1 Still anyone's ashes.

    Good!!!....now keep doing it.....

and yes, producing a pitch to negate the oppositions bowling attack is dumb, it blunts your own attack as well....the can read the rest into it yourself..... I'm not handing out satisfaction.....

Plan change.... I'm off to Tokyo instead to kick Wally's ass!!!

Clever play by England. In conspiring to end the test early to get an early night and an extra day off knowing full well that the result would be the same even if they did bat on for another session or two, they also managed to inflate the Aussie egos at the same time. PLenty of baggy green covered bonces will now have the idea that the series is done and dusted and they only have to turn up to win now.

Yes - very crafty by England. Very clever indeed. Well done boys.

Posting about how he said he didn't need to post any more - after a whole day of not posting.

    Christ, what a dick.

Embarrassing collapse by England. Not grounding your bat? Ffs! Still, 1-1 next stop Edgbaston.

The way they played shows that they either don't care about the supporters, or, they do, and deliberately lulled the aussies into a false sense of security by chucking it in early.

    Time will tell

The thing is test cricket, and particularly the ashes tests, can change dramatically in a session let alone a week.

The English supporters had a week to gloat and maybe in a week or 2 they may be gloating again.

That's the beauty of the game which is 5 day test cricket.

One thing for sure winning the toss is paramount.
