So it seems the convicts win has brought another convict glory hunter out of the woodwork.
Never mind, once this series is over Dasher will probably stop his witless attempts at being funny and go back to watching Aussie rules.
^^Not the most graceful of winners are they?
Aussie crowds are very good. Pommy crowds are disgrace. Chalk and cheese.
Harmison, of course, was part of the England team that won the 2005 Ashes, taking Australia apart with reverse swing in concert with Andrew Flintoff and Simon Jones.
It was only later that batsman Marcus Trescothick admitted he was sucking on mints and using his saliva to shine the ball in that series. Trescothick was England’s official ball-shiner and admitted he used Murray Mints to produce saliva that “when applied to the ball … enabled it to keep its shine for longer and therefore its swing”.
And these pommy cheats got a parade!
It must pain Smith to know that he will always be remembered as the captain that organised systemic cheating and not for his batting prowess.
I don't think anyone really remembers Marcus Trescothick for anything other than him having a nervous breakdown on tour because his wife was banging someone else back home.
Poms cheating for many years

Smith no 2 batsman of all time
Harmison a pie thrower who was part of a bowling 4 who cheated as admitted by others
He just lost all credibility as a person let alone a cricketer. A grub of a person.
It's like someone wants Aussie supporters to have a bad name...
Harry, that's my understanding also.
Warner was the perp, Bancroft was the shooter.
Smith found out about it, before it happened and said something along the lines of 'I don't want to know'.
Weak, very weak. Piss poor captaincy. Paid the price.
In January 2010, England bowlers Stuart Broad and James Anderson were accused of ball tampering by stopping the ball with the spikes of their boots in the third Test Match against South Africa.[21] Broad maintained that he was just being lazy, because it was 40 degrees Celsius in Cape Town that day.[21]
Massive CHEATS
Can't even lie straight in bed these grubs
my dear cricket newbie
this has been 3 results from 4 matches - tis marvelous
we shall see

The Oval is generally the friendliest batting track in England. A match total of 304 would be enough for him to break Don Bradman's record of 974 runs in a series. At this stage it's not entirely unreasonable to suggest it.
You have to admire Root's sense of humour.
Quote:
England captain Joe Root has no doubt he is still the man to lead the side despite defeat at Old Trafford ending their hopes of regaining the Ashes.
Australia's 185-run win in Manchester confirmed that they will keep the urn and left England to face up to the reality of surrendering the Ashes on home soil for the first time in 18 years but despite the disappointment, Root is keen to continue as skipper.
"Definitely, yes," he said when asked if he felt he was the right man for the job.
It's remarkable how desperate the convicts are to try and cover up the tarnished reputation of their cheating skipper. So much so that they are prepared to spin a feeble web of obvious lies. It's also notable that Smith tried to share the blame with others when he, as the captain, should have acted like a man and taken full responsibility. Then again his blubbing at the press conference showed what a wet he really is.

At the press conference at the end of the day's play, Bancroft, accompanied by Australia's captain, Steve Smith, admitted that he was shown attempting to alter the condition of the ball using a short length of yellow adhesive tape to which dirt and grit had adhered, forming an abrasive surface. Five days later, and after an investigation into the incident by Cricket Australia, he admitted it was sandpaper, which cricketers use to maintain their bats. Smith also admitted that he knew of the plan in advance of Bancroft's actions. Smith said that the plan was made during the lunch break by the "leadership group", which he did not name.
Broad must have been pleased to see his bunny Warner get on the plane for the UK, anyway. :D
