^ Good on him , back home in Qld and with a chance to really make a name for himself a well as securing his and his families future and a big plus, away from the Manly grubs.
^ yeah and what team isn't a bunch of grubs?

Souths, Newcastle, Penrith and the Roosters are looking the goods IMO. St George don't have it so it is too early to call on Melbourne.
The Warriors led at half time, never scored a point in the second half, and got rolled. Again. No team has lost more games this way in the last 3 seasons.
These are the sort of stats NRL fans should know, more so if they're having a punt. Then cop a spray from a know-fuck-all "expert" when they're pointed out
I will be going to watch Parra do that to them next week...bet they don't thoughOriginally Posted by Headworx
You don't strike me as being a sports gambler Bruce. If you were - and with the knowledge you show - you wouldn't have any money left to pay for an internet connection.
^ Especially backing the Warriors to win after leading at half time. 55555

The thing this year with the NRL is there are already some really good teams showing out and some at the other end. They aren't as even as last year. The Belmore mob are one at the front, and Souths and Penrith.
That proves the Warriors biggest problem was letting a great coach go. When Cleary was there he had half the talent they have now.
I am prepared to forgive the Warriors that loss against Newcastle for a couple of reasons. They went in with one centre, and Newcastle have two outstanding centres. The Knights will kick some arse this season especially at home. They shut the Warriors backs down, and that isn't easy.
They should beat Canberra tomorrow, and if they don't that will be a bad sign. Canberra are a rabble. If they can beat Canberra the next week they have the Eels at home. I reckon the Eels are over rated, if for no other reason is that the Silvertails are becoming a genuine rabble and they are the only side they have beaten.

^ RIP.
Manly very lucky to win that one , Melb robbed twice , first time Manly scored 3 tackles later when they should have been under the posts watching Smith get the 2 extra points , Manly were also dudded. The standard of refereeing so far has been disgusting.
^ was bad last year, the year before, and before that.
It was amusing hearing Des Hassler talking about Voldemorts. "Those who cannot be named."
How fucking good is Inglis, sets up 110 meter try...
^ That was THE play of the weekend. The Roasters should have forced a goal line drop, all they had to do was tackle Inglis in-goal and they had 4 men in a position to do just that. Instead, he brushes them off like flies, puts it on the chest of his winger, and the Rabbits put on a 6 pointer. The man is a total freak.
A great game to watch anyway, 2 very good teams.
Saw him play out here when I was a nipper...Manly were my team after that...until the Warriors arrived.Originally Posted by Bazzy

The terrible refereeing performance of Jared Maxwell at Brookvale Oval. If he is not dropped to NSW Cup, Tony Archer needs to be punted himself.
That was amazing...reminded me of the try Kevin Iro scored for Manly at Brookie years ago...but Inglis also let in the next Rooster try.Originally Posted by Necron99

^ Wow they snuck past Stuarts mob, must be premiership favourites eh.
^Exactly. It was 6-6 at the break against genuine wooden spoon contenders so they couldn't blow a half team lead. As they have more than any other team in the last 3 seasons. By far.
But what do stats have to do with anything when we have Bruce
