    THE National Football League 2014

First game today, The Green Bay Packers @ bnubs Snottcovered Seabirds.

Earl Thomas back returning punts is screwing them up for fun.....

Lots of interesting matchups in Week One, lots of questions to be answered.

I'm actually nervous about the Niners in Dallas, shouldn't be but............

Wilson just got sacked...... damn.... a penalty...... Hometown officials helping the Seabirds.

Worthy of a bump, as a few members here follow the NFL.

Eagles and Skins should be interesting next Monday.

Anybody have a game coming up this week they are interested in.

(And oh yeah, the recent distractions.)

Green Bay won, innit?...Always respect a team from a small city...And the famed jump into the stands when a TD is scored...

New England..... hmmmm.... don't like that bet.....

I do fancy Seattle to take it all again though......

They had a blip last week, but that was after an emphatic Week One week where some of them decided a Repeat was all to easy. It's not, get yer head's back down and work.

The Niners were completely overatted after a Week One performance that saw them dumping on Dallas, I felt after that game that the Run D and the OL were poor. They fot what they deserved against Chicago, up early, dumb fucking playcalling in the red zone and more proof that Kaepernick should be blonde, more wasted Time Out's, more delays of game (he should have had one of his TD's pulled back but the officials missed it) and a misread of the Defense on the final play, a misread that he didn't even know he had made in the Press Conference afterwards.

So....the game that matters this week, Niners in Arizona....it's a biggie...... Arizona are a very solid football team and will be tough to beat.

May be of interest to UK based NFL fans. I took these photos yesterday (mainly to remind me to google it when I got home, which I've just done now)

Banners advertising something to do with the NFL running from one end of Regent Street to the other. It turns out it's for a street party where they close the entire road to traffic and it's in celebration of the games being played at Wembley Stadium. Apparently they did the same thing last year. I might go just for the cheerleaders.

Detroit Lions were 21-0 down at half time and came back to win 22-21. Talk about game of two halves!

If the NFL can put on a couple more games like that, it will do wonders for the game's profile this side of the pond. A few of the previous Wembley show downs have been a bit of a let down apparently.

What a game for the Eagles kicker to miss 6 points.

We just do not play as a team. Kap got all that money and came out and had a $50,000 year.

That fucking fumble is just what I mean.

That game doesn't concern me much, we lost that on defense which is where we are very strong but you can't lose that many defensive players and still perform..... even the replacements for the lost big names have been lost for this game....

Kaep is never going to be what they tried to get him to be this year.

Today they let him run and look what happened, he got over 150 on the ground. It's that that hides his weaknesses....

Harbaugh will sadly be gone, I'll be happy only if the cvnt of the team Craptree follows him out the door.

if we pay him big money to stay then I'll be wishing Baalke out the door as well.

Personally I'd like to keep Harbaugh but I don't see it happening.

A friend in the bay area says that former Steeler coach Bill Cowher is being considered. I have always liked this guy. Gonna be sweeping changes for next year.

Damn I missed out on a lot of 49er bashing this season. I think it is safe to say the Seahawks will need to find a more worthy rival with Harbaugh leaving and Kaep finally coming back down to earth. It looks to me like its going to be an unsteady future for niners fans.

On the other hand I have a big game tomorrow we can't overlook the Cardinals. This will be a good old fashioned defensive war. Throwback football at its best! Dont miss it.

Have to wonder if Bill wants to coach again...

The best and most respected coaching candidates [NFL] are all comfortable in their broadcasting/commentary situations.

John Gruden might be a better fit for the forty-niners, since he learned his craft, and developed as one of the great football minds, under Bill Walsh.
    Or...bring back Steve Mariucci.

Look at all the great coaches that came outta that system - all apart of the same coaching staff [under Walsh] for years.....then went on to fame.

that does not sound bad either, but Gruden is a commentator as well is he not? Just a disappointing year, its that simple. Missing Bowman on defence was huge. He is larger than life on the field. I heard him miked up last year. Wow is all I can say.. I hope he can make it back.

Still love the Niners, but look back at what could have been this year. What should have been as well with all the $$$$$$$$$$$ involved.
