crashes galore in store tomorrow, hopefully with kittel among them. sadly for moi, could have had a place to crash for the race in kraresbrough but my grandparents are a strange lot; weathy but cold and aloof and been waiting too long for my inheritance so perhaps a re-schedule of the course is in order?

Should be a bit closer between Froome and Contador this year. Chris's TTing should separate the two.

Keep and eye on Teejay Van Garderen for a podium place.

Poxy bastard thing comes through our area Monday lots of road closures in Colchester for hours to allow that stupid charade to come through for a few minutes .

Why the bloody hell they are allowed to close roads / schools / doctors surgeries / trap people in they're homes allay in rural areas I wil never understand.

If people want to ride around with they're arses up in the air wearing lycra shorts 3 sizes too small with a ridiculous looking helmet go and do it on a race track off the public roads i.e. Cadwell Park , Brands Hatch etc , oh just remembered there would be a cost involved to hire a track which means people would have to pay to get in to watch it , which means no one would go , because no one is that interested in the pointless shite .

There is a hell of a lot of opposition in Essex to this its been well voiced on local radio all week and local papers ,, I hope no one does anything silly and sprays the luvvies with paint as they come through

If I were betting on an American this year I'd look at Dauphiné winner Andrew Talansky. Interesting article here (maybe behind a pay-wall though?)

    I liked this part:

He was also an unlikely cycling story. Talansky had grown up in South Florida not on the bike, but as a runner. "If you'd told me seven years ago he'd be riding in the Tour de France, I would have laughed," said his mother, Susane Amick.

A stress fracture put an end to Talansky's running career. Amick's boyfriend, Boris Fernandez, introduced Talansky to local cyclists, including the elite triathlete Manny Huerta. A bike was picked out of the trash.

"Literally pulled out of a dumpster," Talansky recalled.

Pity about Cavendish, but all credit to him for taking responsibility for the crash. Hope he's able to continue.

(And raise your hand if you knew who "Ramunas Navardauskas" was before today...)

gutted that froome is out but not surprised. months back had a feeling he would crash out at some point, his form has been indifferent plus his fall in the dauphine. even more gutted that my man quintana isnt riding, as i think now he would have a real chance not withstanding his crap time trialling

^ I'm sure Wiggins is thinking the same thing - Brailsford you twat!

Despite Froome's exit, today's stage was one of the best I've seen. Gotta love the pave.

it was indeed a great stage. nibali already has a serious lead over contador and we havent reached the mountains yet.

watched the armstrong lie the other night and was reminded of what a little shit he is. it takes some beating to be filmed in a kids ward for cancer sufferes knowing you're a charlatan
