If I were betting on an American this year I'd look at Dauphiné winner Andrew Talansky. Interesting article here (maybe behind a pay-wall though?)

Why the bloody hell they are allowed to close roads / schools / doctors surgeries / trap people in they're homes allay in rural areas I wil never understand.
