The axe murderer Wandy also had a killer soccer kick. But, yeah, the chute boxe boys with the Muay Thai training are a pleasure to watch, more so than the cry babies Minataur etc..

wandy has been signed by the UFC now so we'll see how he does without the nasty stomps and soccer kicks

Shogun looks like the next great fighter to emerge at light-heavyweight....he was amazing the last Pride tournament. they've got him fighting some stooge in the next UFC

    What if?

It's amazing to look at the evolution of this sport. I recently went back and viewed all the original UFCs where Royce Gracie used to suck the life out of his victims. Amazing that under no rules, Brazilian Jui Jitsu would still rule probably.

What i particularly like about light heavy at the moment is that it's very much stand up orientated.
the majority of the top guys are happier on their feet.

Yeah, that's better for action, and Fedor's stand up style is not that impressive to watch, because he doesn't have the grounding in striking art, but rather Sambo I believe.

he's good but hasn't been tested yet. i reckon Shogun would beat seven shades of shit ouf of him if they fought now. however.....he has potential. i am now waiting for an Irish fighter to spring up so i can boast freely (pity Roy Keane has retired huh?)

Yeah, I'm a huge fan, and was a practitioner myself of a number of styles in my younger days (a fat old fart now), and I have to say watching all of them, the two best fighters in history in my opinion are "Hoyce" and Fedor. Dream match to see those two fight under old UFC rules!

My son was a black belt in Tae Kwon Do at 10. Technically called a junior black. He's now in first year college and starting up MMA, just for fun. I found the most useful and dangerous art to be Pencak Silat, but not suitable for competition as it's focus is to do too much damage.

What I think is great about UFC is that it is for retards, so I don't actually watch it.

    why is it for retards?

do you know anything about MMA or are you just producing more vacuous pikey rhetoric to appease your tormented soul?

I, also, think it's crap. Too much wrestling & not enough actual fighting. Them guys can stay on the floor almost bumming each other for the whole round without even throwing a punch. Give me any kind of boxing, any day. At least you get to see proper KOs & not some guy crying mercy because he's had his fingers bent back, like a faggot.

Let's see...ugly bloody tatooed skinhead brutes and lovely babes.

I'd swear that must be Pattaya but the girls are wrong.

It's utter toss, two near naked men grapple around and that's about it. I could go The Big Market in Newcastle and see that most nights of the week, why the fuck is that a sport.
