Conor wins by knockout in the 2nd.

That's 9 wins of his last 10 fights. First ever UFC title holder in 2 divisions at the same time.

He earned the right to continue his boasting and trash-talking...he's the top dog in the pound.

That knee on Weidman, was brutal...

Women fights are fantastic, they show great skill and technique (better than the men in many instances)...

AO is right about drugs in the UFC... in addition, they are even stricter in terms of safety (length of suspension after KO, etc)...

I love boxing too, but can still appreciate MMA for its own unique flavor.

Godamn he won, I was sure that alvarez could get him down, ouch. Anyway made money on Romero and Pennington, so not all lost.

McGregor on top of the world right now, he can pick an choose as he pleases.

So will he go back to FW to defend his title? Or stick with LW?

I think McGregor v Aldo 2 would be a bigger money spinner than taking on Ferguson or Nurmagomedov at LW, but maybe he is done with that.

Or will he continue with the circus and do Diaz 3?

BTW just to point out that Nate Diaz fights at LW, so he is not the giant that McGregor makes him out to be, but has the style that gives McGregor problems.

It was, but Weidman also ducked down into it. Just bad, or good - depending on your perspective - timing.

^ Mac G is just on another level... I never thought I would say this (being a Muay Thai guy) but a pure Muay Thai fighting style, is an easy style for Mac G to beat.

It's just too rigid and predictable (for him)... deadly on 99.9% of the population, but he's become immune to it. He's found the best style for his body type...

Long stance, gives him distance to propel himself forward to attack, or retreat swiftly.. I thought it would leave him open for front leg kicks, but instead of checking the kick with his shin, his vision is so good he just pulls his leg back, he's not as front leg heavy as he seems...

He's adapted a Karate stance, more 'side-on' than MT, to expose less of his body as a target (smart)... mixed in boxing to utilize his deadly accurate left hand. Can go full MT (hard core leg kicks on Diaz) when/if required, and has semi-decent ground game.

Hard to beat (but not unbeatable) some of Eddies punches came within a whisker of making contact... but that's testimony to his reaction/timing and defense.
Will beat a predominantly MT fighter, 9/10 times...

Unless you are Diaz, with a huge reach advantage... only way to negate his stand-up game is to muscle him to the ground.

His vulnerability lies on the ground.

*no shit Serlock, I hear you say..

My Nana used to listen to that song when we were kids...

Roughly 20 hours to go. Can't help feeling like win or lose this will be her last fight.

    Who are you picking KW?

I don't dare to make a prediction, as RR has been away for a year... I wonder how her self-confidence is after such a devastating loss/KO last time?

Hard to learn striking so late in her career.. well, she can bang, but not in the same class as top level kick-boxers.... if she gets her in her infamous arm-lock, then it's all over, rover...

    Will be interesting...

*Fook it.. I'm picking RR for the win (via submission round #2)... Nunes is no push over though...

Nunez beats Holmes who beat Rousey, should be good. The "mystique" around her seems to be gone this time though.

Heart says RR. Head says.... too close to call. But the fact that Rhonda has beaten her before, and has something to prove... may get her over the line of shattered confidence and 1 year ring rust.

I am going for Nunes. If it goes past 2 rounds, I think Rousey will take it as Nunes always falls to pieces after the second round, though of course it rarely goes that far with her, but I don't think she is equipped to survive the striking of Nunes for those first 2 rounds.

Don't think they have fought before.

Rousey body looks harder than I seemed to remember.

Its too hard to call .
She and her corner made zero adjustments in round 2 in her last fight, just came charging out all angry.
Depends how long/much she has trained since her loss, what state her head is in .

She's doing zero promotion or talking, UFC must have been desperate to have her back, didn't Mac Gregor get kicked out of the UFC 200 card for not doing enough ..

I wouldn't fancy a decision not going her way

go on, I'll stick my neck out
    Rousey by armbar round 3

Dang I love that UFC. Darlin remember when we watched it on our 10 wedding anniversary together? The day after your 22 birthday? That was a great day. Just love that UFC. At last something we can watch with our type of people. 3rd grade graduates like ourselves. I here tell that some of those hi falutin 6 grade graduates want to call it a sport. Anyway darlin youve been a great wife and a damn fine sister to boot. If only our dear departed mom and dad could share our day. If only they hadn't stop to cook that road kill in the middle of the highway.
